Arrive in the charming city of Cusco after your flight from Mexico City. According to your flight schedule, you will be picked up at the Ricardo Velasco Astete International Airport of Cusco (CUZ) for the transfer to the hotel.
Check-in time at the hotel is from 15:00 hrs, if you wish you can leave your luggage at the hotel reception and walk around the nearby places to wait for the time when your room is available.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore Cusco on your own and at your own pace.
You can take the opportunity to rest and get used to the altitude of this beautiful city in the Peruvian Andes, known for its colonial architecture and important archaeological remains.
Note: The flight from Mexico City to Cusco is included, it can have up to 2 stopovers and depart between 1 and 2 days prior to arrival in the city. Detailed flight information (airline, route, date and time) will be provided no later than 7 days before the start of the experience.
Note: You must report to the airport at least 3 hours prior to flight departure and present proof that you have completed the COVID-19 vaccine dose at least fourteen (14) days prior to boarding the flight; otherwise, you may present a negative molecular test with a result date no more than 72 hours prior to boarding the flight.

Start the day with a delicious breakfast and then you head by private transport to the colorful village of Chinchero, located approximately 50 minutes away.
There you see different constructions of Inca walls and its small colonial church; you also have the opportunity to participate in the elaboration of Andean textiles.
Continue the visit to the famous circular cultivation terraces of Moray.
From there you continue the tour to the salt mines of Maras, which has more than 3000 salt wells, which was used by the Incas for their consumption.
Take the opportunity to take pictures and videos of this impressive place.
On the way to Ollantaytambo you make a short stop in Urubamba for lunch.
Finally you follow the road to Ollantaytambo station to take the train (Expedition of Peru Rail or Voyager of Inca Rail) for a little more than an hour and a half to Aguas Calientes.
Upon arrival you check into the hotel and rest.

Start the day very early and after breakfast, you take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu.
After you enjoy a tour of Machu Picchu, during which you'll receive a detailed explanation of this historic sanctuary from the guide.
Machu Picchu is considered one of the seven wonders of the world for its history, landscapes and impressive architecture.

Note: The entrance ticket to Machu Picchu may vary depending on availability. The number of entries for each circuit is regulated in order to preserve this Historic Sanctuary.
Finish the visit to Machu Picchu and return to Aguas Calientes for lunch.
Continue the day with the train ride (Peru Rail Expedition or Inca Rail Voyager) back to Ollantaytambo.
Finally you transfer to Cusco, check in at the hotel and have time to have dinner (not included) and recover energy for the next day.

Begin the tour early in the morning to go to Mollepata, located 2 hours and a half away, where you have a nutritious breakfast.
Continue by road for 1 hour and 20 minutes to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike to the Humantay Lagoon.

Start the ascent with a great diversity of flora and fauna that inhabits the area, during the hike you can see different birds typical of the region, as well as the wonderful scenery.
Follow the path until you reach the beautiful Humantay Lagoon, a wonderful place that enchants every person who visits it with its crystal clear water, its mountains and a unique view.
Take some time to enjoy the nature of this place, take amazing pictures and finally finish the visit with lunch.
Note: The maximum altitude of this hike is 5,000 meters above sea level, so it is important to be in good physical condition.

Wake up very early and leave the hotel by road for about 3 hours to go to the point where the hike to Vinicunca or Winikunka begins, which is called "the mountain of the 7 colors".

Start the hike and on the way you will see impressive landscapes, alpacas, llamas and vicuรฑas.
The ascent is a demanding hike that can take 2 hours at a considerable altitude. When you reach the mountain you have enough time to take pictures and enjoy this incredible place. Keep in mind that the maximum altitude of this hike is 5,000 meters above sea level, so it is important to be in good physical condition.
The different minerals found in the mountain give it different shades including pink, green, white, yellow, among others that create a beautiful view and give rise to its many names, among which are Cerro Colorado, Montaรฑa Arcoiris and Montaรฑa de Colores.
The descent of the mountain usually takes about 1 hour and a half.
Later you have lunch and get ready for the return to Cusco.

Note: You may need to take a COVID-19 test before leaving Cusco, it can be done at the airport and costs between 20 and 30 USD.
We recommend that you stay at least one more day in Cusco, since you will not have enough time to get to know and discover everything that this city has for you. We recommend including the City tour or if you prefer to add an additional excursion you can add them in the Extras section.
