IMPORTANT: We'll have a briefing one day prior to your departure date at 6:00 pm. We will leave Cusco around 4:30 am (pick up from your hotel) to the town of Mollepata. Here we will stop for last minute supplies, a quick stretch and restroom break. We will then continue by bus to our trek starting point at Challacancha. There we'll meet with our support staff, load our equipment onto mules, and we begin our hike to Soraypampa. We already can have panoramic views of the Salkantay and Humantay mountain during this part of the trek. The trail continues upwards toward Humantay Lake. We'll descend back to your first night at a cristal capsule. Hiking distance - 7.5 miles Highest elevation - 15,092’ Meals: lunch and dinner Lodging: Four people crystal capsule. (On ground)

  • Day 2 Soraypampa – Challway
    • 7:00 am - 8:45 am

Today, the ecosystem along the trek will change drastically, from barren alpine to snowy peaks to jungle areas. This will be the most difficult part of the trek. We will hike to a place called Salkantay Pampa, continuing upwards towards the face of Salkantay. By midday we will reach the highest point of the trek (15,091 ft). The views from here are literally breathtaking – not only the (20,551 ft) Salkantay but the surrounding peaks and valleys below. After trekking for a over 13 miles, we will arrive to our camp in Challway. In the evening we will rest and share dinner together. Hiking distance - 13.5 miles Highest elevation - 15,256’ Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner (in addition to snacks) Lodging: Four people crystal capsule (on mountain).

Leaving from Cusco

Mystical sacred city, located on the Andean Mountain Range at 3 399 m above sea level, with great historical and architectonic legacy. Cusco is surrounded by green valleys and is known as the navel of the world, since it is the political and territorial center of the Inca Empire.
