Day 2: Giza pyramids and Egyptian museum

No visit to Cairo is complete without seeing the majesty of the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.you'll enjoy personalized attention on your tour of these famous symbols of Egypt's ancient civilization. In the Giza plateau area, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx date back over 4600. the Pyramids of Giza are by far the most famous and are the last of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World. Your qualified Egyptologist guide will provide a fascinating introduction to each of the three pyramids: Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. You will have free time to enter one of the pyramids (additional cost), although your guide is not permitted to enter with you. After visiting the pyramids, you'll then continue across the plateau for a photo opportunity of the three pyramids rising from the sands, with the Cairo skyline in the background. A short drive to the city side of the plateau finds you standing at the feet of the Sphinx, for thousands of years the enigmatic symbol of Egypt

Day 3: Aswan
Stop At: Aswan, Aswan, Aswan Governorate, Nile River Valley
Arrive in Aswan in the morning. Here the Nile runs deep and fast between granite rocks as the desert encroaches on the river. Even to travelers in ancient times, Aswan was known as the legendary gateway to the kingdom of Nubia. Today it is still something of a frontier town, where the Arab Middle East meets black Africa. Visiting the packed bazaar is highly recommended โ here you will find exotic spices, carpets, leather goods and countless other wares

here may be time OPT to visit the Temple of Isis at Philae (optional). There are many other sites to be seen around Aswan and your leader should be able to organize some excursions โ perhaps a camel ride or a trip to the Unfinished Obelisk. In the evening, you will take a trip across the river to a Nubian village and enjoy dinner at one of the local houses.Fees are included if option chosen.

Day 4: Abu Simbel
Stop At: Abu Simbel, Abu Simbel, Aswan Governorate, Nile River Valley
A great otional tour to Abu Simbel.The great site is located miles south of Aswan. Your guide will pick you up to drive 145 miles to Abu Simbel. There are two temples there; both were erected by the famous pharaoh Ramses II 1240 B.C .The two temples were carved into the mountainside. The large of them contains four huge seated statues for the pharaoh; each of them is 70 feet high. The second one is smaller and for his wife Nefertari. This one has six statues on its faรงade, two of them for the queen and four for the king
During the tour, your Egyptologist guide will explain the history of the temples and the pharaoh outside the temples, and then you will have enough free time to explore the interior of the temples and enjoy looking at the wall painting and hieroglyphics. Ramses is defeating his enemies and showing himself as a god.

Day 5: Kom Ombo
Stop At: Temple of Kom Ombo, Nagoa Ash Shatb, Kom Ombo 81611 Egypt
This morning you will visit the temple at Kom Ombo. The temple is dedicated to two gods: Haroeris (Horus the elder) and the crocodile-headed Sobek, the Egyptian god of the Nile. Check out the many mummified crocodiles on display.Then m you will get on a minivan to Luxor

Day 6: LUXOR
Stop At: Valley of the Kings, Luxor City, Luxor 85511 Egypt
At the beginning of your tour, you will cross the Nile to the West bank where you will visit the Valley of the Kings. The Pharaohs were hiding their mummies and treasures in this barren desert area. Many of these treasures were found in these beautiful colored tombs. You can visit three tombs to enjoy the colors and murals on the walls. The tombs were craved deep in the mountain rock; you have the option to visit other royal tombs such as Tut Ankh Amun

Stop At: Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, Kings Valley Rd Deir el-Bahari, Luxor 23512 Egypt
Then continue your tour on the west bank and drive to the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshibsut. She is the first female pharaoh in ancient Egypt who ruled the kingdom for 20 prosperous years. This temple is called El Deir el Bahari as the early Christians used the Northern monastery, as it was a Coptic monastery. Unlike the other temples, this one was built of limestone and partly hewn in the mother bedrock. It has three terraces and its focal point is to tell the story of the Divine birth of the Queen.

Stop At: Colossi of Memnon, Thebes, Luxor Egypt
The final stop will be at the colossi of Memnon. The Colossi of Memnon are two monumental statues representing king Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt. They are located west of the modern city of Luxor and face east looking toward the Nile River. The statues depict the seated king on a throne with some other carvings of his mother, his wife, the god Hapi, the Nile god and other symbolic engravings. Both carved from single blocks of sandstone and the name refers to the Greek hero Memnon who fell in the Trojan War.

The tour begins with the Karnak temple, which is actually a complex of temples. The temple is dedicated to Amun Ra, the chief god in Egyptian mythology. Enjoy the Great Hypostyle court and the reliefs and murals that were added through the generations. Feel astonished at the tall obelisks of 70 feet high and cut of a single piece of granite. Look at the statues of the different pharaohs who want to show their loyalty to RA.Keep an eye on the magnificent tall columns and their papyrus and Lotus capitals while their shafts are loaded with hieroglyphics.Following this, you will drive from Luxor to Hurghada

Enjoy all the activities , heading to some offshore reefs where you can swim and snorkel to see the abundance of vividly coloured marine life that inhabit these waters. Youโll have around four hours to explore this underwater world. The young ones will love this part of the trip. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to relax. If youโve had enough of the sea and sand, you might like to take this opportunity to explore town. In the northern part of town youโll find the proper Egyptian part of the city โ this is where the souq is. Itโs a good place to mingle with the locals and get a sense of everyday life.
