Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Vienna/Bratislava to the Tatras mountains

Pass By: Bratislava Old Town, Bratislava Slovakia
Departure in the morning. We'll head to the north-east of Slovakia. On the way you'll see some castles, mountains, and beautiful countryside.
Lunch time: Stop at Donovaly, a village in the Low Tatras.
Overnight in the High Tatras, 4* hotel with breakfast the following morning.

Day 2: National Park Pieniny

Stop At: Pieniny National Park, 543 51, 059 06 Červený Kláštor, Slovakia
Wooden raft ride on the river Dunajec – rafting with breathtaking views in Pieniny National Park. This river is not only for advanced rafters but also for beginners. The canyon is the biggest and most untouched in central Europe. On your way through the smallest national park in Slovakia, you will see a panoramic view of the mountain peaks “Three coins”. You will experience rafting through the narrowest part of the river: the width is only 10 meters. We'll also visit a truly old-style Slovak village, with traditional wooden houses.

Day 3: High Tatras experience

Stop At: Tatras National Park, Tatranska Strba 75, Tatranska Lomnica 059 41 Slovakia
We'll stay in the oldest National Park in Slovakia. We'll take an easy hike - suitable also for children. The High Tatras are truly unique, as one can enjoy magical silence in the valleys as well as maximum relaxation. In this National Park there are around 600 km of marked trails that take walkers to the most interesting and also hidden places in the High Tatras. We'll take an easy hike to waterfalls and a beautiful valley.

Day 4: Low Tatras experience

Stop At: Low Tatras National Park, Dolna Lehota-Banska Bystrica, Brezno Slovakia
We'll visit the the Low Tatras. At 1,102 square km, this is the biggest national park in Slovakia. It provides the most stunning views of untouched forests and valleys. Fascinating caves full of stalactite formations are open to the public. We'll visit one of these, and we’ll also take a cable car to the Chopok mountain. Then we’ll go on a hike and take in the breathtaking views.

Day 5: Visit Orava castle and transfer back to Vienna/Bratislava

Stop At: Orava Castle, Oravsky Podzamok 1, Oravsky Podzamok 02741 Slovakia
In the morning we’ll drive about an hour to one of the most beautiful castles in Slovakia: Orava castle, where one of the first ever vampire movies was filmed – Nosferatu (1922). After lunch, we’ll start heading back towards Bratislava, passing two large castles in western Slovakia: Trenčin and Beckov.
