Day 1: Arrive in Salzburg - Check in at the Hotel

Pass By: Salzburger Altstadt, Altstadt, Salzburg Austria
Check in to your centrally located hotel in early afternoon. Here, you’ll be given your voucher for your horse-drawn carriage ride and your Christkindl-Pass voucher book, which will entitle you to free snacks and discounts at the Salzburg Christmas Market (Christkindlmarkt). Spend the rest of your day exploring the city independently. Perhaps stroll around the historical Altstadt, admiring the grand buildings and pretty fountains, and maybe even stopping for a brandy-laced coffee or a stein of beer (own expense).

Day 2: Explore Salzburg

Day 3: Christmas market

Afterward, perhaps head to Salzburg Christmas Market (Christkindlmarkt), which is located on central Domplatz and is overlooked by the green domes of Salzburg Cathedral (Dom).

Bring along your Christkindl-Pass and exchange your vouchers for snacks and other festive offerings. Using the vouchers, pick up a gourmet Christkindlmarkt chocolate bar, a hot punch and choose between several savory Austrian specialties including a bratwurst sausage and a schnitzel breadcake.
