Our tour commences with a visit to the Pena Palace, perched majestically atop Sintra Mountain, showcasing quintessential Romantic architecture in Portugal. This palace is a testament to exoticism and exuberance, adorned with facades painted in captivating, vibrant hues. Its sprawling Park spans over 200 hectares, a masterpiece of artistry featuring enchanting gardens, tranquil ponds, picturesque bridges, and ornate fountains.

Following our exploration of the palace, we’ll venture into the historic center of Sintra, meandering through its narrow streets. The van tour kicks off with departure from the meeting point, heading towards Vila Franca do Campo, the first capital of São Miguel Island. Here, we can make a brief stop to sample the renowned "Queijadas da Vila" (Vila’s Pastries).

Continuing your journey, delve into the interior of the Furnas Valley, where Terra Nostra Park awaits exploration. As we meander through the park, a plethora of vegetation from across the globe greets us, offering a serene ambiance amidst the thermal waters where you can unwind.

Next, venture to the Furnas calderas area near the Furnas Lagoon, where the traditional Portuguese stew, Furnas Cozido, is prepared before indulging in a satisfying lunch (included) at a local restaurant.

After lunch, schedule takes us to the parish center, where we will explore fumaroles and have the chance to sample carbonated mineral waters known as Água Azeda.

Next, we proceed to Pico do Carvão, offering a panoramic view of São Miguel’s central region, encompassing both the northern and southern coasts.

Upon arrival at the parish of Sete Cidades, a brief comfort break awaits on the shores of the Sete Cidades Lagoon, allowing guests to marvel at the beauty of the Blue Lagoon.

As we ascend towards the Vista do Rei viewpoint, guests will catch sight of the Santiago Lagoon. The viewpoint offers a unique perspective of the Sete Cidades volcanic crater.

Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant as part of the tour.

Continuing onwards, we head towards Pico da Barrosa, with a stop at the Lagoa do Fogo viewpoint for breathtaking scenery.
