      Meet your guide at the appointed time to embark on your Tokyo Odyssey.

      Visit Meiji Shrine, an oasis of tranquility enveloped within verdant woods. Marvel at its majestic torii gates and meander through the serene trails lined with towering trees. 

      Explore Tokyoโ€™s ancient heart, the Senso-ji Temple and its surroundings. Itโ€™s a mesmerizing maze of vivid hues, tempting aromas, lively crowds, and delectable street eats, with visitors posing for photos dressed in elegant kimonos.

      Afterward, going to Odaiba, an ultramodern area on Tokyo Bay. Here you can enjoy pleasure cruising, shopping, and spectacular views of Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Bay, and the Tokyo skyline.

      On the way back to your hotel, we will show you the famous Shibuya crossing filled with urban buzz.

      After breakfast, get to the railway station and take a 1.5-hour bullet train to Nagano, the proud host of the 1998 Winter Olympics Games. 

      ยญUpon arrival, take a local bus (about 40 minutes) to Jigokudani Monkey Park to see the adorable snow monkeys bathing in natural mountain hot springs. This stunning place is home to a troop of wild Japanese macaques who go about their daily lives here, including the unique behavior of bathing in onsen (natural hot springs). This particular troop of monkeys, which was featured on the cover of Time Magazine in 1970, is the only troop in the world known to enjoy this relaxing human activity.

      At night we will stay at a traditional hot spring inn in the small hot spring resort town of Shibu Onsen. Dress in traditional Japanese attire (yukata and geta) and walk through the streets of this wonderful little town entering

      Take an-hour bus to Nagano on your own and travel onward to Kanazawa by 1.5-hour bullet train.

      On arrival, be welcomed by your guide and escorted to take in the cityโ€™s major sights.  visit the magnificent Kenrokuen Garden, which is justifiably classified as one of Japanโ€™s three most beautiful landscape gardens. The spacious garden used to be the outer garden of Kanazawa Castle and was constructed by the ruling Maeda family over a period of nearly two centuries.

      After enjoying a leisurely stroll through these magnificent gardens we will then explore the sprawling grounds of Kanazawa Castle itself. This castle was the seat of the powerful Maeda clan from 1583 to the end of the Edo period.

      We will finish the day by exploring Kanazawaโ€™s famous Nagamachi Samurai District. This district, located at the foot of Kanazawa Castle, was where the ruling samurai and their families used to live. The area preserves a historic atmosphere with its remaining samurai residences, earthen walls, private entrance gates, narrow lanes, and water canals.

      Enjoy an unforgettable day trip to the historic villages of Shirakawa-go.

      This exquisite rural village features the traditional thatched-roof farmhouses unique to Japanโ€™s alpine regions. With their steeply-slanted roofs built to withstand heavy snowfalls, they resemble โ€œhands clasped together in prayerโ€ (hence their name, gassho-tsukuri). A walk through the village allows us to experience the magic of the farmhouses in the snow, and learn more about the construction of these houses and the traditional life of the villagers.   

      After your visit, get back to Kanazawa.

      Travel from Kanazawa to Nagoya by shinkansen.

      Here we transfer to a domestic flight to Sapporo, Hokkaido. 

      Sapporo is the capital of Hokkaido and most notably hosted the Winter Olympics in 1972. Youโ€™ll have a chance to explore the city and sample some of the unique cuisine such the local buttery ramen noodles.

      Upon arrival, greet and airport transfer to the selected hotel.

      Start your city tour at the Sapporo Clock Tower. It is one of the few surviving Western-style buildings in Sapporo. Continue to Odori Park and Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium, one of the settings for the 1972 Winter Olympics.

      ยญLater, stroll around Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade and then visit Shiroi Koibito Park, a theme park by Ishiya, a local chocolate company, for chances to see how to make chocolate. You can also taste some sweets there.

      Have a one-day excursion to Otaru, a small harbor city about an hour northwest of Sapporo by drive. As the city is known for glassworks, music boxes, and sake distilleries, the Kitaichi Venetian Art Museum, Otaru Music Box Museum, and Tanaka Sake Brewery Kikkogura are what you canโ€™t miss. Besides these, a short walk from the cityโ€™s canal area to Sakaimachi Street and a visit to Sankaku Fish Market would make your impression of this city come alive.

      After the tour, return to Sapporo for the night.
