      Welcome to Osaka, Japan! Upon arrival, make your own way to your accomodation.


      **For the 2025 itinerary, please note that the tour will be staying in Kobe, Kyoto, and Okayama instead of Osaka to avoid any potential congestion due to the Kansai World Expo. We apologise for any inconvenience and assure you that you will still visit all those exciting places.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Osaka - Himeji - Hiroshima (B)

      After breakfast we take a guided tour of Himeji, located one hour from Osaka in Hyogo Prefecture. Himeji is world famous for its magnificent castle, Himeji Castle and its beautifully arranged gardens. Himeji Castle is known as the White Heron Castle due to its elegant, white appearance and is widely considered as Japanโ€™s most spectacular castles. It is listed as both a national treasure and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

      Continue on to Hiroshima for the night.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Hiroshima - Osaka

      Day 3: Hiroshima - Osaka

      Today, we begin with the Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima. The shrine and its torii gate are unique for being built over water, seemingly floating in the sea during high tide. Then visit the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Museum, which commemorates the victims of the atomic bomb used in WWII. After we make our way back to Osaka.

      Today start your tour by driving to Nara to visit one of Japanโ€™s most famous temples, Todaiji Temple. See one of Japanโ€™s largest bronze statues of Buddha (Daibutsu). Wander through Nara Park, home to hundreds of freely roaming deer. Naraโ€™s deer are the symbol of the city. Visit Osaka Castle and take in stunning views of Osaka.   Finish off our day with a tour of one of Osakaโ€™s central food and entertainment centres Dotonbori

      Today we will take the Bullet Train from Osaka to the historical capital of Kyoto reaching with 15 minutes. In Kyoto, we visit Nijo Castle, the Kyoto residence of the Tokugawa Shogunate and is designated a UNESCO world heritage site.

      After that we will head to Nishijin Textile Centre and enjoy a traditional kimono show. Kimonos are still used today in Japan for formal ceremonies and festivals.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Kyoto - Kanazawa (B)

      This morning we visit the Kinkakuji Temple otherwise known as the Golden Pavilion. Kinkakuji Temple is a Zen temple and World Heritage site with two floors covered entirely in thin layers of pure gold and detailed architecture incorporating three distinct architectural styles of Shinden, Samurai and Zen. We will then go to Togetsu Bridge and the Bamboo Grove, landmarks of Western Kyotoโ€™s Arashiyama District for over four hundred years. Standing amongst the being in another world and is nothing like any other forest you have seen before. It is mesmerizing and peaceful. 

      Continue on to Kanazawa for the night.

      Today we will explore the castle town of Kanazawa. First up we will make our way through the streets of Higashi Chaya, a district lined with quaint old buildings that were once teahouses used by the local geisha (traditional Japanese female entertainers) and their guests. Next, we will visit Kenrokuen Garden one of Japanโ€™s three best landscape gardens and considered the most beautiful of them all with spaciousness, seclusion, artifice, antiquity, water features and panoramas. Later we will visit Buke Yashiki (a samurai house) and learn about how the high ranked samurais lived during the Edo period. Then finish up the day by going to Omicho Market to try the local foods and see the local crafts.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Kanazawa - Shirakawago - Takayama (B)

      Today we will go on a half day tour of Shirakawago to explore the small village and the gassho style houses. See stunning views over the traditional village of Shirakawago. After your tour in Shirakawago head towards Takayama for the night.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Takayama - Nagano (B)

      Today we visit some of Takayamaโ€™s highlights. We begin our day with the Takayama old town, Sanmachi-Suji. A small 3 lane area is filled with old wooden buildings consisting of sake breweries, small boutiques and some larger merchant houses which are now museums. After we visit the Takayama Jinya, the former local government office which was in use from 1692 right up until 1969. Then we visit the Yatai Kaikan  (Festival Float Exhibiton Hall) where some of the centuries old festival floats are on display to the public, .

      Upon finishing your tour in Takayama board the bus to Nagano.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Nagano - Matsumoto (B)

      Ohayou-gozaimasu! (Good morning!) After breakfast, we will gather together and head off to Hokusai Museum to discover the great artworks of Katsuhika Hokusai (1760-1849) one of Japanโ€™s leading Edo period ukiyo-e painters. Visit Zenkoji Temple which was founded over 1,400 years ago and houses one of the first ever Buddhist statues to be brought into Japan. Then continue on to Matsumoto city where you view one of Japanโ€™s most complete and original castles, Matsumoto Castle. A short stroll from the castle we will finish up our tour in Nakamachi Street where we can see nicely preserved buildings and traditional ryokans.

      Ohayou-gozaimasu! (Good morning) Today we will visit one of Mount Fujiโ€™s springs, Oshino Hakkai. Afterwards we will visit Mount Fujiโ€™s 5th station, which is above the clouds and allows you to view its enormous summit (if the weather permits). 

      Enjoy your night in the Mount Fuji area as well as your farewell dinner with your fellow tour members.

      Today we will visit Gotemba Peace Park to capture another breathtaking view of Mt Fuji. Then weโ€™ll take a cruise down Lake Ashi where youโ€™ll be able to see the beautiful nature around you. Board the bus to Tokyo for the night.
