What is the best season for this adventure?

The recommended season for this adventure is during the winter, from December to March, when the nights are dark and lend themselves to impressive views of the Northern Lights.
Consider that April is not a recommended month to visit these destinations since the thaw begins at the end of March, therefore ice activities are very unlikely.

The climate during the experience is very cold with temperatures from: -15 °C to -30 °C during the day and from -30 °C and -40 °C during the night.

Where does the experience start? Will you pick me up at the airport or hotel?

Accepted Answer

The experience starts in Whitehorse. Upon arrival at the Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport (YXY) a tour representative will pick you up and drive you to the hotel.
Airport transportation is available from 10:00 AM  to 08:00 PM.

Are there any medical or vaccination requirements?

There are currently no mandatory vaccinations to visit Canada, besides the routine vaccinations (viral tripe, measles, mumps and rubella). However, it is recommended that you get vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B. It is also recommended that you consult your local doctor and get official information before you travel.

What happens if I get sick or injured during the trip and I can&#x27;t go on?

It is always important to have travel insurance. Any situation first is to warn your guide, depending on the case the necessary assistance will be given and even if it is required to finish the experience.

What currency do you recommend I bring? Where can I change?

Accepted Answer

The currency used in Canada is the Canadian Dollar ($,CAD) We recommend you to change to the local currency before arriving in the country. It is also possible to change at some exchange offices and ATMs upon arrival in the country. Not all stores accept international credit and debit cards, so it is recommended to have some cash on hand.

Does not include international flights, travel insurance, meals, drinks, tips, optional winter tours, other personal expenses. We recommend that you bring about $60 USD per day for general expenses.

The groups are between 14 to 20 pax.

Do I have free time during the activities of the experience?

Depending on the day, once the scheduled activities are over, you will generally be able to enjoy free time to relax and take pictures. This time will be announced by the guide at the beginning of your experience.

After the scheduled activities you can optionally take different activities, like shopping or visiting the top places of Whitehorse like the SS Klondike National Historic Site, the Fishladder & Hatchery, the Old Log Church, and more. 
Consult your guide for more information on the sites you can visit. Activities and visits during free time are not included.

Meal options can vary from $8 to $15 USD. We recommend bringing a daily total of approximately $35 USD.

This experience includes planned accommodation in Whitehorse: Hotel The Sternwheeler or Days Inn Whitehorse (03 stars) or similar - Private double room. NOTE: Hotels are subject to change without prior notice. Upon arrival at the destination, request more information or confirmation via Chat directly to your guide 1 week prior to your arrival.

Of course you can travel alone, however it is necessary to choose the special rate for 1 person.

What is the minimum age? Does the price change for minors?

The minimum recommended age for this adventure is 07 years old. 
Due to current regulations, the hot springs do not allow entry to people under 19 years of age, in case there are people with this age at least 1 responsible adult (for each reservation) must return to Whitehorse, for this reason this itinerary is not recommended for families.

If I arrive a day early or leave a day late, where can I stay?

For this experience, the departure and return are  in Whitehorse. If you wish to take additional nights in these cities, check the "extra" section or with your guide through the traveler chat within your session, which are the best options.

Wifi is available in all hotels. For Internet and Phone coverage, please check with your local company. If you wish you can purchase a local SIM card to keep in touch.

Yes, it is possible to charge your electronics devices in the planned hotels.

The common voltage during the experience is 120V with frequency of 60 Hz. The outlets have two holes, while the plugs have two flat pins type A. Mexicans and colombian travelers do not need an adapter.

The arrival is in Whitehorse. Airport transportation is available from 10:00 - 20:00 hrs.
If your flight arrives at a different time you must take a cab to the hotel for an estimated price of $20 to $25 CAN (not included).

The last day of your experience is exclusive for the return, the check out from the hotel is until 12:00 hrs. Transportation to the Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport (YXY) is included.

No specific physical condition is required, there are no physical demands for this experience.

In order to visit Canada as a tourist, it is not necessary to have travel insurance, however, it is highly recommended to have a complete medical insurance to cover major medical expenses for any type of emergency, also that covers any eventuality such as delay or cancellation of flights.

Do I need any special equipment? What kind of clothing do I need?

You need winter clothes that are warm enough since the temperatures can be as cold as -35°C. Including snow pants, winter boots, double insulated parka, gloves. You can rent winter and polar clothing, check out the “extra” section for information.

What size backpack or suitcase do you recommend I bring?

Accepted Answer

It is recommended to take a small-medium size suitcase and a handbag per person.  Luggage can be stored in the guest room or at the hotel luggage storage room.

Do I need a visa to enter the country?

Accepted Answer

It is necessary to check directly with your country&#x27;s embassy to confirm if there are any visa requirements to visit Canada. This will depend on your nationality. It is also important that the passport has at least six months validity from the return of the trip.

What is the recommendation for passengers who exceed the maximum age?

There is no problem in take the experience, however it would be at their own risk considering the extreme weather (-35 degrees and irregular and frozen ground conditions)

Can minors enter the Hot Springs?

Accepted Answer

Access is prohibited for children under 19 years of age, since the facilities are fully designed to guarantee the rest, relaxation and revitalization of passengers using the hydrotherapy cycle (hot to cold water). Therefore swimming, jumping or playing is not allowed. In addition to this, alcoholic beverages such as red and white wine, draft beer are served. Currently there is a maximum of 1 alcoholic drink per guest.
If a minor is in the reserve, they can have the Wildlife Reserve activity, however for the Hot Springs activity an adult (at least) must necessarily stay with him/her at the hotel (duration approx. 3 hours) and indicate through the Chat to the operator if any other adult who is in the reservation will carry out this activity to take it into account.

The extra activities that we suggest you reserve at least 90 days before departure are: Dog sled ride for adults and/or children, sleigh tour and experience with Huskies. (they are the most requested, therefore we depend on availability)
The extra activities that we suggest are reserved at least 60 days before departure are: Wilderness Tour, helicopter flight, Whitehorse Bird&#x27;s Eye View, Cessna Flight, snowmobiles.
All these activities operate with a minimum of 2 people
