Once at the Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport (YXY), a tour representative will pick you up and transfer to the hotel, located in the heart of the city and close to the banks of the Yukon River.
Whitehorse, the capital of Yukon, is a small and easy to explore on foot or vehicle city. Not far from the hotel you can find restaurants, shops, cafeterias, and ATMs.
After settling at the hotel room and meeting the guide and your fellow travelers, it is time to visit the AuroraCentre and catch some northern lights.
Relax next to a cozy wood stove and enjoy the first night of viewing auroras in one in the best destinations of the world for this nature experience.
The schedule for airport transfers is from 10:00 am to 20:00 hrs It is necessary to inform your guide of your flight schedule at least 30 days before your arrival. If your flight arrives at a different time you must take a cab to the hotel for an estimated price of $20 to $25 CAN (not included).
The driver will provide you with winter clothes in case you rented it (see the โextraโ section for more details). You will have time to try them on at the hotel.

Discover the sights of Whitehorse, historic and yet trendy, on a city tour with character. Visit the SS Klondike National Historic Site; among the last of the great paddlewheelers that plied the Yukon River system until the 1950โs, the Old Log Church; the oldest building in Whitehorse, the unique Log Cabin Skyscraper; a three story tower made completely out of logs.
After visiting the top places of the city, walk through the Main Street, where you can shop or have lunch in some of the cafes.
Get in the tour transportation and visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve, located about 30km from Whitehorse. There you will get close views of many of the Yukonโs large mammal species including elk, moose, mule deer, caribou, Dallโs sheep, mountain goats, bison and even the musk-ox of the high Arctic, all in their natural surroundings. For sure, you can get amazing pictures during the experience.
The hot springs are not far from the preserve, so it is the perfect way to continue the day. Indulge yourself in the natural hot springs and relax in a breathtaking winter mountain setting.
Note: Children under 19 years of age are not allowed for the Hot Springs activity.
After some free time to recover and take dinner (not included) in Whitehorse, get back to the road to admire the colorful bands of light dancing in the night sky. Relax in sheltered comfort, or under the starry sky beside a warm fire at one of the tailor-made aurora viewing locations.

Begin the half day snowshoeing tour,where youโll get to strap on a pair of lightweight modern snowshoes and experience the rugged backcountry just like the gold miners, trappers and fur traders of days gone by.
See the scenic location in the Whitehorse area backcountry, with wildlife such as spruce grouse, foxes, coyotes and snowshoe hares is occasionally spotted at a distance.
Then, take some time to relax in Whitehorse and prepare for the night.
Note: The racket activity applies only to people over 7 years of age and older.
Therefore, an adult must stay with the minors in the hotel for the duration of the activity (approximately 2 hours).
Set out once more to the AuroraCentre and seek the sight of northern lights under the sky of Yukon.

The last day is exclusive for your departure. The transportation will take you from the hotel to the Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport (YXY).
