Which is the best season to carry out this adventure?

The best season is during the summer. From mid-May to mid-October you will find incredible landscapes, and the weather is ideal to make this visit to the park in camp.

What physical condition do I need to have to complete this experience?

You do not need to have a high level of physical condition, just attraction for discovering new places and being in contact with nature. It will be an active but suitable trip for anyone who likes hiking and exploring nature.

What happens if I get sick or injured on the trip and I can not continue?

You will always be accompanied by expert guides and certified, who know the procedures for any incident. Be assured that you are safe at all times, and always with the ability to return to San Francisco.

Do I need travel insurance?

It is not mandatory, but it is recommended. Within the extras section you will find a very good option with coverage for any type of accident.

Which currency do you recommend to bring? What extra expenses are there?

Dollars, you can exchange them at the airport or any exchange place. This experience does not include the first day meals, so we recommend you to take at least 50 usd to cover them.

Do I have free time during the activities of the experience?

That's right, the last day you'll have the option to discover by your own, and have free time to explore more places in this incredible park. From doing some hiking, to rent a bicycle to travel the place.

How is the weather in this experience?

It is a cold climate, a wooded place where the temperatures will oscillate between 0 and 15 C, you always have to be prepared also with a raincoat for any surprise.

Do I need some kind of special equipment?

It is not necessary, the guides carry all the camping equipment that is needed. It is important that you wear the right clothes and do not forget to bring your sleeping bag too. (Optionally you can rent also).

What size of backpack do you recommend to take?

It is advisable to carry a backpack with a maximum of 50 L, so you can always be active. You will not carry the backpack during the walks, but it is important to be practical in these types of trips.

Do I need VISA to enter the country?

How is the accomodation within this adventure?

Are camping tents for two people with tents and everything necessary for the dining room, there will always be nearby bathrooms and showers with hot water.

Can children go? Is there a discount for children?

Yes, children from 1 to 12 years old can get a discount of 10%, ask your advisor in case you travel with a minor, in this way you can adjust your price before purchase.

I planning to travel alone, is that okay?

No problem, many of the travelers do so. You just have to consider that you will share a camp with more travelers, just as the bell houses are for two people.

What is the minimum age and does the price change for minors?

Minors are welcome to take this experience. From 0 to 12 years old and 11 years old at the time of the trip must be accompanied at all times by 1 responsible adult (+18 years old). See the "Extras" section for the charge per child. MInors 13 years and older are charged at the regular rate. The experience is recommended for people up to 60 years of age who are in good physical condition.

Day 1 Welcome to Yosemite.
8:15 am - 8:00 pm

Welcome to Yosemite.

8:15am: Pick up from San Francisco Hilton Hotel (Mason Street entrance) You will start crossing the Bay Bridge and see Alcatraz and Angel Island. There will be a stop at a local fruit stand to pick up some fresh produce and an opportunity to buy lunch in advance (not included). You'll arrive at a grove of Giant Sequoia trees.Walk amongst these massive wooden monuments, some of which are over one thousand years old. At evening you'll arrive at camp. Your guide will give a campground orientation while the guides set up camp. You can then relax by the river, get dinner in the restaurant (not included), or hang out in the pub. Drinks around the campfire at night is a great way to end the day. You’ll want to get a good night’s rest for a full day of hiking on Day 2.
Day 2 Hiking day.
7:00 am - 9:00 pm

Hiking day.

Rising early, the guides will prepare breakfast and lunch, clean up camp, and head off in the van for a fun day full of hiking, sightseeing, and exploring. The second day is reserved for exploring Yosemite’s High Country. The hikes are for everybody, don't need to have a high level of physical level. (3 to 10 km depends on the group) Dinner tonight is a camp cookout where you help cook. Then you’ll have time to unwind by the campfire, swim or soak in the hot tub, or play a game of pool at the nearby pub. Swap stories around the campfire with your new friends. “Hit the sack” when you’re ready, but in the morning, we “break” camp and head to the famous Yosemite Valley.
Day 3 Last day and back to San Francisco

Last day and back to San Francisco

Rising early, the guides prepare breakfast and lunch, and “break” camp. As soon as we are all packed up, we head to Yosemite Valley. This day is a free day, where you choose what you’d like to see and do in Yosemite Valley. You can hike to a waterfall, rent a bicycle to cruise around the valley floor ($10usd), check out the visitor’s center, museum, and Ansel Adams Gallery, or relax in the shade by the emerald green Merced River. Regroup for one final group activity, a visit to the El Capitan Meadow to view rock climbers conquering the largest granite monolith in North America. After a full day in the park, we head back to the San Francisco Hilton, arriving around 9pm.
