Transfers starting from Izmir on day 1, airport transfers in between the route and transfer to Istanbul Airport on the last day are included. All pick-ups from your accommodation to begin your tour & drop-offs back to your hotel at the end of the day are included. On days 1, 4 and 6 your will take domestic flights arranged by Alaturka.

  • Day 1 Day 1: Istanbul To Izmir Flight

      Welcome to 9 days touring this amazing country

      After being picked up from your hotel in the city of Istanbul, you will head to the airport, fly to Izmir and then be transferred to the Ephesus region where your tour of this Ancient city begins the next day. 

      Once your flight details have been received, we will book you onto the most convenient connecting domestic flight, ensuring enough time to catch the plane.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Ancient City Of Ephesus

      Day 2: Ancient City Of Ephesus

      This city is amazing and as you walk in the footsteps of those who have done so before you will understand why Ephesus is such an important city today as it was over 3000 years ago. The culture and lifestyle of those times are all around you, these are some of the best-preserved ruins anywhere in the world. 

      You will also visit the humble mountainside home of the Virgin Mary, it is here just outside of the city limits after the death of her son she spent the remaining years of her life.

      You will also go to the site of the Temple of Artemis, one of the greatest of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

      Then on to Isabey  Mosque, a beautifully decorated example of selcukian artform built by the most sought after master craftman of his day Ali of Damascus.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Pamukkale

      Day 3: Pamukkale

      On this day you will journey from  Ephesus to Pamukkale to see a wondrous sight, there are so many amazing photos of the white cascading pools that have formed over millennia but when you stand there and see for yourself it is simply breathtaking. You will also visit the neighbouring city of Hierapolis with what is probably one of the best roman amphitheatres you will ever see before returning to Ephesus region in the late afternoon.

      Important notes: The bus from Ephesus to Pamukkale takes approximately 3 hours.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Flight To Cappadocia

      Today is the day you will fly from Izmir to Cappadocia. (Flight times may vary)

      We will provide you with a transfer to Izmir airport where you will fly to Kayseri, the main airport in Cappadocia. 

      Once you arrive at your hotel, you will have the rest of the day free.

      If you missed the opportunity yesterday but have changed your mind then now is your chance to fly higher then the tops of the unusually shaped rock formations that make up this stunning region of Turkey. This tour will cost extra.


      South Cappadocia Tour

      Todays tour of the southern areas of Cappadocia will take you to Uchisar Castle, the Underground City, and Cavusin village who have mesmerized visitors for years. 

      Some of the more iconic vistas of this region get their reputation from the huge expanses of rocky hills, huge canyons and unique valleys. Today you will see many of these, including Pigeon Valley, Love Valley, Meskendir Valley, Rose Valley and Red Valley.


      Flight From Cappadocia to Istanbul

      At the end of todays fantastic tour of the canyons and valleys of South Cappadocia, you will be taken to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. 


      Once you have touched down we will be waiting at the airport and be shuttled to your new hotel.

      Day 7: Istanbul Old City Tour

      Many of the worldโ€™s cities have a great atmosphere, but Istanbul is like no other, with history on display around every corner, and old traditions still practised daily, this city that has one foot in Europe and one in Asia also has a foot in the past and the present, no trip to Turkey would be complete without tasting the delights of what was once the Roman city of Constantinople. 


      You will be picked up from your hotel in Istanbul, to see some of the major attractions of this mystical city, the Blue Mosque, the breathtaking Hagia Sophia, and then into the Sultans Palace of Topkapi to see many ancient treasures, rooms and gardens. 

      For those of you who love shopping the tour will walk through the largest covered market in the world the Grand Bazaar.


      Our recommendation:

      At the end of the tour you will have some free time, we recommend visiting the Spice Bazaar and enjoy the sights and smells of Turkish tea, spices, and candies. 

      You will be on your own here with plenty of time to wander at your own leisure as its not part of your tour package, and then make your own way back to your hotel.

      -Sundays The Grand Bazaar is closed  

      -Mondays The Hagia Sophia is closed  

      -Tuesdays Topkapi Palace is closed  

      -Fridays Blue Mosque Entrance is limited due to prayers, therefore we are unable to enter.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Bosphorus Cruise And Bus Tour

      Day 8: Bosphorus Cruise And Bus Tour

      This full-day tour starts as you visit the beautiful and ornate Dolmabahce Palace built for the last of the six Ottoman kings and their families. It will then be time to climb on board for a Bosphorus Cruise with views of both continents. You will sail by famous sights in the city such as Galata Tower, Ortakoy Mosque, Rumeli Fortress, Maidens Tower, Kucuksu Palace and so many more wonderful landmarks along the way. 

      As the cruise ends you will take a bus tour up to Pierre Loti Hill for expansive views across the city and of the Golden Horn. A cable car ride down will see you back onto the bus and winding your way back to the heart of the Old City.

      IMPORTANT NOTES:

      Dolmabahce Palace is closed on Mondays and on this day the tour will begin later.

      Dolmabahce Palace, Kucuksu Palace, Pierre Loti Hill are the only sights you will tour by foot.

      The other sights will be seen from the boat or bus.
