Day 1: DAY 1 โ Arrive in Egypt for 7 Day Cairo to Petra Tour
Stop At: Cairo International Airport, Orubaุ Roadุ El Nozha, Cairo Governorate, Egypt
No matter what time of the day you arrive at the airport for your 7-day Cairo to Petra tour, you can be certain that one of our friendly and dedicated tour managers will be standing by to meet and greet you, and to assist you in any way they can. After giving you a warm welcome from all of us, he and one of our drivers will take you to your hotel in a deluxe air-conditioned vehicle.
Once you reach the hotel, you will be assisted with check-in, and then your tour manager will confirm a pick-up time for tomorrow. After this, enjoy a free Welcome Drink on us, and then you are free to spend the remainder of the day as you wish. If you feel like heading out rather than staying at the hotel, your tour manager will be happy to make a few recommendations.

Day 2: DAY 2 โ Giza Pyramids, Sakkara Necropolis and Memphis Tour

Today will likely be one of the most memorable days of your Cairo to Petra tour, so make sure you charge your batteries with a nice wholesome breakfast at your hotel before your guide and driver arrives. At the time confirmed with you yesterday, you will be collected, and then you will make your way to the famous Giza Plateau to see Egyptโs most famous ancient monuments, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx.
While at this site, you will also have the chance to explore the Valley Temple, and visit the areaโs Solar Boat Museum. However, your Egypt and Jordan tour package does not include a ticket for the museum, but one can be purchased at the site. Once your tour of this site ends, you will then be taken for lunch at a good nearby restaurant.
After lunch, you will head to the Sakkara Complex, another ancient necropolis where you will be able to see the very first Egyptian pyramid ever built, the Djoser Pyramid. There are also a number of other fascinating pyramids to see at Sakkara, so you can be sure that this stop will be just as amazing as your visit to the Giza Plateau.
Next, you will head to Memphis, the ancient capital of the Old Kingdom. Today, Memphis is most famous for its vast necropolis and its abundance of ancient ruins. Once you have finished exploring the area, you will then make your way back to your 5-Star hotel, and you will have the evening to yourself.

Day 3: โ Egyptian Museum, Coptic Cairo, and Islamic Cairo Tour

Today, after you have had time to enjoy your breakfast, your guide and driver will arrive at your hotel at the agreed time, and then you will be taken to visit the famous Egyptian Museum which is home to nearly a quarter of a million artifacts, including a stunning collection which was retrieved from the tomb of King Tutankhamen. This particular collection is on display in the Treasures Room, and entry to this room is included in your 7-Day Cairo to Petra tour package.
The museum also has a Mummies Room which houses a number of authentic Egyptian mummies, all of which are kept in specially designed displays in order to maintain their preservation. We are not able to include tickets to this room in our tours, but instead, visitors are required to purchase a ticket at the museum if they want to go into the room where the mummies are kept.
After you have had ample time to explore the museum, you will then be taken to a good local restaurant for lunch, and then your tour will continue. First, you will visit the imposing Saladin Citadel, including the spectacular Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. This mosque is open to visitors of all faiths so feel free to stroll around inside to take some stunning photos.
Your next stop will be at Coptic Cairo where you will enjoy a visit to two fascinating sites, the Ben Ezra Synagogue and the Hanging Church. Finally, you will be driven to one of Cairoโs most famous and most loved landmarks, the bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar where traders have been selling their wares ever since 1382.
Finally, after another fun-filled day, your guide and driver will return you to your hotel where you can enjoy another good nightโs rest in absolute comfort and style.

Today marks the beginning of the next phase of your Cairo to Petra Tour, so once you have had your breakfast, your tour manager will meet you at the hotel at the agreed time; he will get you checked out, and then you will be taken to Cairo International Airport where you will be boarding your flight to Amman in Jordan.
When you arrive at the airport in Amman, one of our tour representatives will once again be there to meet and greet you, and then you will be driven to the hotel where you will be staying for the remainder of your Cairo to Petra adventure.
As is the norm with Egypt Tours Plus, you will be assisted with check-in, and then our representative will briefly discuss your itinerary with you, and confirm pick-up times for the tours that lie ahead. After this, you will be free to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish

Day 5: Mount Nebo, Madaba and Dead Sea Leisure Time

The 5th day of your Cairo to Petra holiday begins with another fabulous hotel breakfast, and then you will be heading out for another wonderful day of sightseeing.
First, you will be taken visit Mount Nebo and an old monastery. Mount Nebo is of course the place where Moses first cast his gaze upon the Promised Land before he died, and many people believe that he was later buried on Mount Nebo as well.
For many visitors, the highlight of this visit is the incredible view you get when you reach the old monastery. From this vantage point, you get a splendid view of the Jordan Valley; the Dead Sea, and even parts of the Holy Land far in the distance.
After spending some time on Mt. Nebo, you will then be taken to Madaba, the city of mosaics, where you will enjoy a visit to the magnificent Greek Orthodox Basilica of St. George.
This truly amazing church still functions as one of Jordanโs main places of Christian worship, but it is most famous for its ancient 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land. This remarkably accurate mosaic map consists of more than 2 million vividly colored stones, all of which were sourced locally.
From the church, you will make your way to the Dead Sea. Despite its name, the Dead Sea is in fact a vast lake, rather than an ocean. The immediate area surrounding the Dead Sea is approximately 400 meters below sea level, making it the lowest place on earth.
The Dead Sea is of course most famous for its incredibly mineral-rich mud and its incredibly salty water which makes it easy for people to float effortlessly on the water. The mud and sediment is rich in minerals which are today found in many luxury skin care products.
Enjoy some time floating on the water and enjoying the mud, and then as evening times begins approaching, you will be driven back to your luxury hotel in Amman.
