  • Day 1 Pick Up At Georgetown Airport, Cruise On The Demerara River

      Welcome to take our Guyana private tour with daily departure, which can be tailored to meet your individual interests. You will enjoy a more personalized experience as the trip is only for your private party, with no other people. 


      Upon arrival in Georgetown, you will meet your private driver at the exit of the airport and then be trasnferred to the central located hotel, the Cara Lodge. In the afternoon at around 16:00, your guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to pass through the heart of the city to the Stabroek Market area, where you will take a river taxi along the Demerara River. When the sun sets, a variety of egrets, herons, and Rufus Crab Hawks, Scarlet Ibises will fly to their night roost in the mangrove. Afterwards, transfer you back to your hotel.

  • Day 2 Fly To Visit Kaieteur Falls And Orinduik Falls

      Fly To Visit Kaieteur Falls And Orinduik Falls

      After breakfast, your driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to Eugene F. Correia International Airport (Ogle Airport) to catch the flight to Kaieteur Falls. You will overlook the Demerara River and the Essequibo River, enjoy the views of the pristine tropical rainforest along the way. After two hoursโ€™ sightseeing, head for Orinduik Falls. The water thunders over steps and terraces, with a scenery of the rolling grass covered hills. You will have another two hours over here. Afterwards, take the same flight back to Georgetown and be transferred back to your hotel.

  • Day 3 Fly To Lethem, Road Transfer To Caiman House

      Fly To Lethem, Road Transfer To Caiman House

      Today, you will take a morning flight to Lethem. Then a 3-5 hoursโ€™ car transfer will take you to cross the savannah and reach to Caiman House Field Station, which is a guest lodge as well as an education center focused on research and conservation projects along the nearby Rupununi River. After a short rest, you will participate in an ongoing field study of the Black Caiman, assisting with data collection like weighing, measuring and tagging and then release them back into the river. (This activity is only offered in dry season when there are sandbanks to haul out the caiman). Beside, you will have an opportunity to meet local craftsmen here.

  • Day 4 Boat Transfer To Karanambu Lodge, Boat Tour In The Evening

      Boat Transfer To Karanambu Lodge, Boat Tour In The Evening

      After breakfast, you will take a boat for about one hour to get to Karanambu. On the way, you will have a chance to see the Giant Otters, Black Caiman and Arapaima. After arriving, check into Karanambu Lodge. Todayโ€™s lunch will be served in the lodge and you could have a rest in the afternoon.


      In the evening, take a guided boat tour to a nearby pond, where you will see hundreds of Ibis, Anhinga, Heron and Egret. If you are a bird watching enthusiast, you could explore the woodland patches along the river. If lucky, you will find some rare species, like Agami Heron. Afterwards, you could walk along the airstrip to find some different species of nightjar and the Double-striped Thick-knees among the grasslands.

      Search For The Giant Anteater, Take Boat And Car To Iwokrama

      Today, please get up early and you will be guided to a stretch of rolling grasslands to see the Giant Anteaters. The red termite in the mounds of earth will be their food. Watching how they find and eat the red termite will be an interesting thing. Then you will be driver back to the lodge for breakfast.


      After breakfast, you will first take a two hoursโ€™ boat trip to Ginep Landing, then travel northwards by road to Pakaraima Mountain Inn, where you will enjoy a home-cooked lunch on the veranda along with fascinating stories from local character and host.


      After lunch, we will continue the road trip to Atta Rainforest Lodge, home to the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway.

  • Day 6 Walk On Iwokrama Canopy Walkway To Admire Various Birds And Wildlife

      Walk On Iwokrama Canopy Walkway To Admire Various Birds And Wildlife

      Before dawn, we will head to the canopy walkway. Walking on the top of the trees, you will have a great view of the canopy. You could find various species of cotinga and sometime you could even see the Red Howler and Black Spider Monkeys. The walkway has three platforms and the highest one is over 30 meters (98 feet) above the forest floor.


      Afterwards, you can walk on the nearby trails and admire wildlife and birds. You might meet deer, tapir or agouti. As darkness falls, you may see the White-winged Potoo. A night walk will also bring a fun and different experience.

  • Day 7 Fly Back To Georgetown, Head To Botanical Gardens For Birding

      Enjoy the dawn chorus in the canopy walkway in the early morning and then return to the lodge to have breakfast. You will be transferred by car to the Iwokrama Fair View airstrip, from where you will take the flight back to Georgetown. Along the way, you may see elusive Jaguar and myriad bird species. After arriving in Georgetown, you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel.


      In the afternoon at 15:00, your guide will pick you up at the hotel, and then accompany you to walk for about 20 minutes to get to the Botanical Gardens for birding. This garden is home to over 200 species of birds and the local expert will guide you through the different birds.

      After breakfast, Chef Delven Adams will meet you at the hotel and then take you to the Bourda market to buy fish, meat, fruits, vegetables and other ingredients needed for todayโ€™s lunch. You will experience the local lifestyle and be like a local here.


      Then, you will be guided to visit St. Georges Cathedral, the residence of the Prime Minister, the Victoria Law Courts, St. Andrews Kirk and Stabroek Market. Afterwards, visit the National Park and hand-feed the West Indian Manatees there.


      Lunch will be a special treat at Delvenโ€™s backyard. He will prepare an amazing meal with the ingredients bought in the morning market. You could relax yourself in the backyard or join in the cooking and learn from the chef how to cook Guianese dishes. After having the special lunch, you could arrange the rest of the day by yourself.
