The journey begins by travelling the path parallel to the railway of the famous Tren de las Nubes (Train to the Clouds), through the Quebrada del Toro, climbing up to 4,000 meters (13,000 ft.) above mean sea level, to reach San Antonio de los Cobres, a beautiful town frozen in time. It continues to route 40 reaching the Salinas Grandes, precise border between Salta and Jujuy. Descend down the Cuesta de Lipรกn, where you can generally catch a sight of condors, to arrive to the town of Purmamarca and its Cerro de los Siete Colores (Seven Color Mountain). The landscape you will see is the result of the dryness of the environment. Moving forward you will be able to see extensions of vineyards. Sign you are getting close to the area of Cafayate where the Torrontรฉs wine is made; this wine is known worldwide for its excellent quality. Stop At: Salar de Atacama, Antofagasta Chile
Visit to Atacama salt flat, a depression of 3,000 kilometers without exit of waters that receives San Pedro River and a lot of bankruptcy by which wateris filtered from the Andes Mountain. Its cover is white and rough, stained by fine dust of the desert.
During our passage we will visit the Toconao town, an oasis in where people cultivate all type of fruits. In front of its square is located the Church and Bell tower of San Lucas, declared National Monument.
The salt is product of the underground water outcrop that, saturated of salts, evaporates leaving scabs rich in salt and minerals. The rivers fed by Andean snows, cross the area allowing the configuration of multiple oasis. This it is the scene where the atacameรฑan culture was developed.
The air is extraordinarily dry here, which gives it a perfect transparency. The salt scab has been opened to leave space to small lagoons that are favorite habitat of aquatic birds, particularly Flamingoes, Taguas and Guallatas.

Visit to Geysers del Tatio, a geothermal field located in the Andes mountain range. It is the highest of world (4,200 mts of height). It's in the morning early hours when it is presented an impressive steam fumaroles activity produced by the high temperatures of its watery craters. It is surrounded by hills that reach 5900 meters of height.
Approximately between 06:00 and 07:00 am the maximum expression of these steam fumaroles take place with temperatures that reach 85ยฐC, and that emerge from the Earth with force arriving at approximate heights between 7 and 8 mts. It is possible to observe vicunas, llamas, รฑandues and vizcachas, while in the flora emphasize the giant cactus, llaretas and coiron. The temperature in the morning fluctuates between 15ยฐC and 2ยฐC under cero at night.
The place also counts with thermal water pools, with mineral deposits, which upholster 10 km2 of the geothermal field, while, at heart, the snow volcanoes summits stand out against a metallic blue sky.

Day 8: Day 8: From San Pedro de Atacama, Chile to Ojo de Perdiz, Bolivia visiting the Green lagoon and Red lagoon.
Stop At: Bolivia, Bolivia
Today we will travel towards the National Reserve of Andean Fauna Eduardo Avaroa. Visit to Green Lagoon, an impressive aquatic mirror that resembles a giant emerald with a particular brightness in the mornings and afternoons; its color is due to the high magnesium content in the water. In the proximities of this lagoon is the Licancahur Volcano (5,868 m). Continue to Sol de Maรฑana (Morning Sun) a place where it is possible to appreciate fumes, geysers and volcanic holes. This landscape remains us the origins of the earth. The next stop will be the Red Lagoon, populated by 3 species of flamencos (among them the famous James) this lagoon is very impressive because of its red color, that is due to the fine sediment accumulation of the same color on the surface, as well as the pigmentation of a certain type of seaweed. Day 9: Day 9: From Ojo de Perdiz to Colchany by Uyuni Salt flat.
Stop At: Salar de Uyuni, Uyuni Bolivia
Depart towards Uyuni Salt Flat and Incahuasi Island. This island is located in the heart of the salt flat and is the greatest of a group of islands that represents an isolated ecosystem. The island is populated with a cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high, providing an impressive overview. Arrival to Uyuni and transfer to your salt hotel.
** During the rainy season, from November to March, the salt flat could be flooded in that case passengers will visit the train cemetery, the Colchani village where it is possible to observe the extracting salt process by hand. Visit the salt eyes, impressive for its geology and cross the salt flat as much as possible to enjoy a beautiful landscape. City tour starts with the visit to the famous Witch Doctor's Market, San Francisco Colonial Church and the typical handicrafts of the Sagarnaga Street.The tour continues to Plaza Murillo where the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the National Congress buildings are located. Then, visit the famous colonial street Jaen where interesting museums are clustered together, followed by a visit to the replica of the semi-subterranean temple of the Tiwanaku Culture. To change scenery the tour continues to the residential areas of Obrajes, Calacoto and La Florida.
