  • Day 1 Day 1: Dakar

      Day 1: Dakar

      Arrival at the International Airport of Diass. After formalities, transfer to our hotel in Dakar.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Dakar โ€“ Goree โ€“ Kaolack
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Dakar โ€“ Goree โ€“ Kaolack

      Breakfast. Transfer to the harbor where we will board a ferry to visit Gorรฉe Island (20 minutes

      away from Dakar). The island has been declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Weโ€™ll walk around its main cobbled streets furnished of bougainvillea. Weโ€™ll be attracted by the rest of its colonial

      domination which remembers one of the saddest moments of human history: the slave trade.

      Free lunch in a restaurant of the island and then back to Dakar for a complete visit of the town.

      Weโ€™ll make a tour around the main avenues of this metropolis where African traditions coexist

      with modernity. Continuation towards Kaolack a city situated in the west central of Senegal.

      Dinner and night in our hotel (Half Board) 

  • Day 3 Day 3: Kaolack - Kรฉdougou

      Day 3: Kaolack - Kรฉdougou

      Breakfast. Visit of Kaolack, a city that was and still is an important transit center in the groundnuts

      trade, a traditional cash crop of Senegal. Continuation to Kรฉdougou, we shall make small stops on

      the road to photograph landscapes and some animals which roam near the road. Weโ€™ll have a free

      lunch on the way or at Tambacounda. Arrival at Kรฉdougou, installation in our hotel, dinner, and

      overnight (Half Board) 

  • Day 4 Day 4: Kรฉdougou โ€“ Ibel & Iwol โ€“ Dindefello - Kรฉdougou

      Day 4: Kรฉdougou โ€“ Ibel & Iwol โ€“ Dindefello - Kรฉdougou

      Breakfast and departure towards the plain to join Iwol, where you will learn about the Bedik

      culture which is doubtless the most primitive traditional culture in Senegal, several ethnic groups

      live in this region. You will make trekking of one hour and a half on the mounts of Fouta Djallon,

      a natural enclave of Bedik tribe that weโ€™ll have the opportunity to know. Bediks constitutes a

      group related to Bassari tribe and still living hidden in mountains. Weโ€™ll have a pic-nick lunch. At

      the Fulani village of Ibel, we shall visit the fields where millet and groundnut are traditionally

      cultivated. Continuation towards Kรฉdougou, installation in our camp, dinner, and overnight. (Half

      Board) 

  • Day 5 Day 5: Kedougou โ€“ Salemata - Etiolo

      Day 5: Kedougou โ€“ Salemata - Etiolo

      Breakfast. We go to discover not only the Bassari Mountains but mostly these people who stay

      living with their customs and authenticity. You will discover the culture, the exceptional habitat,

      the craft but also the beliefs of this part of the country where Bassari and Peul live in perfect

      harmony and in a cultural and religious symbiosis. Arrival in Ethiolo, installation in our camp and

      lunch (not included). In the afternoon, you will visit the wine collectors, the sacred wood and the Alpha Yaya fort. By chance, you can fall on an initiation ceremony accompanied by disguised

      dance. Dinner and overnight (Half Board) 

  • Day 6 Day 6: Etiolo โ€“ Mako
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 6: Etiolo โ€“ Mako

      After breakfast, departure for Mako, located to about 128 kilometers from Etiolo.

      We will cross Kedougou before joining Mako. Visit of Makoโ€™s gold wells, where we will have the

      occasion to observe the traditional gold pieces extraction process. These gold pieces are stored in

      bags and selected later by minors. Lunch (not included) in a restaurant of the camp. Dinner and

      overnight (Half Board) 

  • Day 7 Day 7: Mako โ€“ Saloum (Simal)

      Day 7: Mako โ€“ Saloum (Simal)

      After the breakfast, departure for Saloum, we can sometimes stop on the way to admire savannah

      of baobabs. This region situated in the West of the country is crossed by the river Saloum and

      shelters a group of small islands that villagers reach by traditional canoes. These luxuriant

      landscapes and its banks lined with mangroves shelter an infinity of birds. Arrival and installation

      into our hotel. Dinner and overnight (Half Board) 

  • Day 8 Day 8: Saloum โ€“ Excursion In Canoe โ€“ Saloum

      Day 8: Saloum โ€“ Excursion In Canoe โ€“ Saloum

      Breakfast in the hotel. You will embark on motorized canoes for a small cruise through the

      labyrinth of Saloum River. This cruise will lead you up to the National park of the Delta of

      Saloum, a paradise of birds and declared world heritage. Initiation to the hand line fishing. Return

      in the hotel for the lunch (included). In the afternoon, we can make a pedestrian stroll through the

      bush and in a village in which the population was animistic and still doing animistic practices of

      their ancestors. Dinner and night in the hotel (Half Board).

  • Day 9 Day 9: Saloum โ€“ Fadiouth โ€“ La Petite Cรดte (Mbour/Saly/Somone)

      Day 9: Saloum โ€“ Fadiouth โ€“ La Petite Cรดte (Mbour/Saly/Somone)

      After breakfast, transfer to Mbour. On the road, we shall visit the biggest baobab tree of Senegal

      that was also the cemetery of Griot tribe. Weโ€™ll stop in Joal, childhood city of the former 

      Senegalese president, Lรฉopold Sรฉdar Senghor. Moreover, a visit to his house of childhood is

      proposed to you before continuing to the Shellfish Island, Fadiouth. By a wooden bridge, you will

      reach this animistic village of Catholic adoption with its attics on piles and its cemetery of shells.

      Dinner and overnight.

      Breakfast. At an adequate time, transfer to the airport. Assistance and boarding. End of our
