  • Day 1 Day 1: Tarangire National Park

      Day 1: Tarangire National Park

      The drive from the Kili Cottage Hotel to Tarangire National Park takes 4 hours. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again to good grazing areas. In the late afternoon, drive back to the Kili Cottages Hotel in Moshi.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Kilimanjaro Montane Forest Tour

      Day 2: Kilimanjaro Montane Forest Tour

      If you donโ€™t have the budget to make it to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, why not explore the base of the mountain?This one day hike will take you to the starting point of the Marangu Route (1,970m), which is located approximately one hour from Moshi. From here you will go on a three-hour hike through Montane Forest to Mandara Hut (2,700m), which is situated on the forest belt border just below Maundi Crater.

      Along the way, youโ€™ll witness some of the mountainโ€™s diverse flora and fauna, while enjoying breath-taking views of the magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will also get the chance to see a variety of colourful birdlife and many species of monkeys including the Black and White Colobus.


      After lunch, you will then have the option to take a short but challenging walk to Maundi Crater. After that, youโ€™ll hike back down where a vehicle will be waiting for you to drive you back to Moshi. The total hiking time is approximately 6 to 7 hours.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Kikuletwa Hot Springs

      Day 3: Kikuletwa Hot Springs

      The Kikuletwa Hot Springs is one of Tanzaniaโ€™s many hidden gems! A beautiful natural pool hiding away among twisting fig trees in the middle of a dusty landscape, this little oasis is the perfect place to unwind after your safari or mountain climb.


      On a clear day, you can also get gorgeous views of Mt. Kilimanjaro! Located within the Sanya plains, the hot springs are a short drive off the main road between Arusha and Moshi. No trip to the Kilimanjaro region is complete without taking a dip here!

      Then in the evernig back to Kili Cottages Hotel
