Welcome to Milan! Upon arrival into Milano (Mxp Airport), Italy, our English-speaking driver and assistant will be waiting for you outside of customs with a sign with your name on it.  

Upon being greeted you will be transferred from the airport to your hotel to unpack your bags and relax. This afternoon, it’s time to enjoy a 3 hour private walking experience: “Live like a local ”: Experience the local way of living. This unique experience introduces you to the real world of the locals and the fabulous local lifestyle in Milano. With our guide you will visit the shops and restaurants where the locals go, getting to experience first-hand the cutting edge Milano fashion! Commonly regarded as the capital of fashion, Milan is bustling with innovative textiles, fabric cuts, and styles that you’ve never seen before! Your creative juices will be overflowing by the time you finish your journey through the city! This is a great way to immerse in the city and learn how to orient yourself in town, while a local guide will introduce to history and architecture of Milan!

Today you will gain an immersive fashion educational experience like no other at our Fashion Workshop!

You will learn Italian secrets about textiles, personal styling, accessories, hats, shoes, style identification and fashion drawings.

Your Milano Fashion Journey will begin in Montenapoleone, the heart of Quadrilatero: every corner of this area hides a huge number of ateliers and fashion boutiques, where, for decades, the best Tailor Masters in Milan have been handed down the tailoring art from one generation to another

Our expert local guides will show you these temples of fashion, where you can see authentic hand-made items of clothing.

Today will be a new immersive sensory experience; you will be able to create and take home your own unique Italian fragrance!

Today, you will visit the fashion and art district of Brera and enjoy a Perfume Workshop! During this once in a lifetime experience, you will be able to create and take home your own unique Italian fragrance, thanks to all the expertise that the guide will gladly provide you.

The workshop lasts about 90 minutes and it takes place in the magnificent district of art: Brera. After the workshop, you will see all the hidden places of the Brera District.

It is the historic centre of Milan, focus of Commercial, artistic and cultural development. Brera hosts the city’s most prestigious historic buildings, and more than 80 design stores, artisans’ workshops, museums, art galleries, the Accademia delle Belle Arti, Teatro alla Scala, and various cultural and art centers. It is regarded as the most elegant and visited quarter in Milan.

After breakfast, you will meet the guide and transfer to the Milano rail station to ride 1st class on the High speed rail to Florence!

This evening, you will have an orientation meeting and local town journey to discuss life in Italy and the local lifestyle: a good opportunity to learn the function of culture and economy.

The city of Florence envelopes the fashion stores with dramatic stone facades, the elegant medieval bridge of the Ponte Vecchio supports jewelry shops, and the dome of the cathedral adds the climactic punctuation to the skyline. Ferragamo is one of Italy’s most famous companies and has broadened its brand by producing a range of elegant clothing, handbags, and accessories. The company was founded in 1928 and acquired Palazzo Spini Feroni in the 1930s. The 13th-century mansion in Piazza Santa Trinita acts as the perfect contrast to the contemporary aesthetic decorating the interior. The sweet aroma of pears fills the gallery amidst the subtle background music emanating from the ceiling.

Visit the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, which features a rotating display of shoes dating back to the 1920s until the present. You feel completely separate from the crowds of Florence as if you’ve stumbled into a style-Renaissance displayed in a palace of high fashion.

In the afternoon, students will participate in an architecture as art immersion, viewing the design process through environment. Both historical and modern art will be discussed.

Tuscany Leather Workshop: Art and Architecture: Inspiration for Fashion

The beauty of fashion is that it accommodates a variety of senses, associating sound, touch, and scent beyond the obvious sense of sight. Today, students will participate in a technical visit at Scuola Del Cuoio! Here you will learn:

•History of Scuola Del Cuoio

•Gilding process

•Explanation of the different techniques

•Explanation of the two collections produced in the workshop: Classic Collection and Francesca Gori’s collection

•Demonstration and explanation of the different type of skins

This afternoon, students will participate in an art in architecture journey, correlating how the history and culture of Italy provides inspiration for the designs seen in the Italian fashion culture.

Enjoy dinner on you own before returning to your hotel for the evening.
