These bikes are also great for group tours where riders have varying levels of skill. They have soft power and easy-to-ride character allows which allows riders to break into the adventure bike world, while having enough power and features for veteran riders to enjoy as well. I always say that the bikes are big enough to be fun but small enough to be safe. The bikes are lightweight and easy to handle while driving as well as at slow speeds and are easy to back out of small spaces in parking lots etc where the weight and bulk of a heavier bike would be a challenge. The size of the motorcycles also allows riders to safely put their feet down when coming to a stop. The 300cc motors are also powerful for long distance trips and also great for riding 2up.

  • Day 1 Day 1: Medellin To Guatape
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Medellin To Guatape

Leave Medellรญn in the morning and take a drive out to the town of Guatape. Pretty much all the towns in Colombia are beautiful and this one is no exception. The only difference is that here you can visit the famous Piedra del Peรฑol. This high granite monolith (technically an inselberg) rises from near the edge of the Embalse Guatapรฉ. A brick staircase of 659 steps rises up through a broad fissure in the side of the rock. From the top there are magnificent views of the region, the fingers of the lake sprawling amid a vast expanse of green mountains. We will spend the night at some beautiful cottages here and maybe even go swimming.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Guatape To Sonson
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Guatape To Sonson

We head to Sonson via a beautiful winding road with spectacular views around almost every curve. Arriving in Sonson we will stay at a 200 year old hotel filled with an amazing eclectic antique collection. We will grab a pizza on the balcony that overlooks the main square and the green countryside. We will also be able to visit the HALO de-mining operations and learn about their efforts to remove leftover anti-personal landmines from the area. Yep, there are still landmines out here.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Sonson To Narino

      Day 3: Sonson To Narino

In the morning we ride to a lookout point that stands at over 10,00ft in elevation and has a beautiful view into the Magdalena river valley before winding down into the rural coffee town of Narinรณ where we can have lunch and drink coffee with coffee farmers in the towns main square as well as visit a local coffee co-op. After lunch we take a short off-road ride to the famous hot springs located an hour from  the town where we will spend the rest of the the day swimming in the thermal pools.
