ROUTE OF PINTXOS IN BILBAO (2 HRS 30 MIN)(50 EUR) With the local guide we will go to one of the most emblematic streets of PINTXO in Bilbao, Santa Maria street, where we will taste the first PINTXO in a typical bar. From there we will go to take some pictures of the Ribera market, where the city was founded and today is one of the largest food markets in the world. We will continue to the Ensanche of Bilbao, crossing the Arenal Bridge and enter another of the most famous streets of PINTXO, Ledesma Street. We will enter another typical bar to consume another PINTXO with the typical Basque wine, the TXAKOLI. Crossing the most elegant street of the city, LA GRAN VÍA, admiring the incredible palaces that characterize this avenue, such as the Palacio de la Diputación with its characteristic eclectic style, we will enter two PINTXOS bars to taste 2 typical pintxos of the Villa, with the drink included. We’ll set off for Castile, traveling through beautiful mountain landscapes. Our first stop will be Segovia, where we’ll take a scenic route around the city to reach Mirador de la Pradera de San Marcos, a viewpoint from which you’ll enjoy the best views of the Alcazar of Segovia, the castle that inspired Walt Disney’s Maleficent’s castle in Sleeping Beauty, along with its impressive walls. We’ll then park near the Roman Aqueduct of Segovia, built in the 1st century and used until 1973, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll have free time to explore the old town, have lunch, and visit the Plaza Mayor, where you can see the cathedral and the Alcazar.We’ll continue our journey on charming little roads that will allow us to appreciate the towns and landscapes on the way to Pedraza, often hailed as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. This strongly fortified medieval town features cobblestone streets, historic buildings, a picturesque Plaza Mayor, and a fortress dating back to the 13th century. There will be free time for a walk. In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to the Basque Country, arriving in Bilbao. Here, you’ll have free time to explore the old town, where you can visit the numerous taverns and bars to sample the famous “pintxos.”

We’ll visit Portugalete, along the Bilbao Estuary, to see the Vizcaya Bridge (tickets included), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s first transporter bridge for pedestrians and vehicles. We’ll then explore Bilbao, where the Guggenheim Museum stands out with its striking exterior architecture. We’ll also see the old town, the historic medieval center filled with vibrant streets and the cathedral. You’ll have free time to stroll and enjoy lunch. We recommend visiting La Ribera Market for lunch, where you can savor typical Basque cuisine in a boat-like structure located in front of the river. After lunch, we’ll depart for Guernica, the site of one of the worst massacres of the Spanish Civil War, immortalized in Pablo Picasso’s famous painting. Here, we’ll see the Tree of Gernika, beneath which the Basque Country was granted its autonomy during the Middle Ages. We’ll continue to Hondarribia (Fuenterrabía), with its beaches, historic walls, coastal setting, and charming old town, where the grid layout of its narrow, cobbled streets will surely captivate you. You’ll have time to explore the old town and enjoy dinner. We’ll then proceed to San Sebastian, arriving by the end of the day. Our hotel is usually located atop Mount Igueldo, offering one of the most beautiful views of this elegant, illuminated city.

In the morning, we’ll start by enjoying breathtaking views over San Sebastián Bay from Mount Igueldo, followed by a visit to the Miramar Palace and its lovely gardens. Afterward, you´ll have some free time to relax on the city’s large beach or take a leisurely stroll along its boulevards. We suggest having lunch in the old town, famous for its “pintxos” bars. Early in the afternoon, we’ll make our way to France, arriving in Bordeaux by evening. We recommend taking a walk through the city center.

The entire center of Bordeaux has been recognized as a World Heritage Site. Prepare to be captivated by the "Water Mirror" and explore the historic old town with its charming pedestrian streets and 11th-century cathedral. We will include admission to the Cité du Vin (with audio tour in English, Spanish or French), an impressive interactive museum that delves into the history and production of wine; wine tasting included at the viewpoint overlooking Bordeaux. Later, you´ll have free time to stroll along the Garonne River banks, lined with quaint restaurants perfect for lunch. Afterward, we continue towards the Pyrenees, arriving in Lourdes by mid-afternoon. You´ll have time to visit the sanctuary (we suggest attending the candlelit procession). Dinner will be included.

We´ll travel through the south of France, starting in Carcassonne, where we´ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch in this city famous for its medieval walls, impressive castle, and picturesque historic district (La Cité). Afterward, we´ll continue towards the Pyrenees mountain range, making a brief stop in Foix, a medieval town renowned for the Château de Foix. We’ll continue through the Pyrenees, with their snowy peaks visible year-round, and arrive in Andorra, a small country where the official language is Catalan. On our route, we´ll make a short stop at Sant Joan de Caselles, a small Romanesque church from the 12th century. We´ll continue to Andorra la Vella, Andorra’s capital, where you´ll have free time to explore the city with its bustling commercial life or visit Caldea, the largest thermal spa in Europe. Dinner will be included.
Day 8 Day 8: Andorra, Montserrat, Barcelona

We’ll have free time in Andorra for shopping or a walk. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey to Catalonia. The mountain countryside will lead us to the impressive abbey of Santa Maria de Montserrat, where we’ll take a rack train up the mountain (included) to enjoy its fantastic scenery. After exploring the sanctuary, we’ll continue to Barcelona, arriving in the late afternoon.

In the morning, we´ll embark on a panoramic tour of Barcelona, renowned as one of the most fascinating European capitals. This vibrant city, nestled along the Mediterranean Sea, is famous for Gaudi’s modernist architecture, the bustling Ramblas, and its rich history, highlighted by the Universal Exposition and the Olympics hosted here. You´ll have free time in the afternoon. In the evening, we´ll provide a transfer to Maremagnum, a contemporary entertainment and dining complex by the sea, located near Plaza de Colón. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the lively area and choose from a variety of dining options.

We’ll travel south along the Mediterranean, making a special stop in Peniscola, a charming walled town by the sea surrounded by picturesque landscapes, where we’ll have time for a stroll. At approximately 04:30 p.m., we’ll continue our journey to Madrid, but not before making a brief stop at the avant-garde City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia.
