      After delicious breakfast, meet your guide at the pier of Stresa pier and start your boat excursions to the charming Isola Pescatori and the intriguing Isolabella. Stretching between Piedmont and Lombardy, one of the shores of Lake Maggiore curves into Swiss territory. The lush vegetation descends the hills to the lake with its little rock beaches and small bays.

      Many of towns on the Lake Maggiore are celebrated resorts: Cannobio, Cannero Riviera, Verbania, Baveno and Stresa, an international tourist destination. The enchanting Borromean Islands, lying in the middle of Lake Maggiore, are a perfect balance between art and nature: Baroque palace and the Italian garden at Isola Bella; the neoclassical home and English-style garden at Isola Madre and a colorful village of rustic houses on the Isola Pescatori. An absolutely unique landscape of shores dotted with historic villas and parks covered with colorful flowers like camellias, azaleas, and rhododendrons.

      After breakfast, youโ€™ll meet your driver for a private transfer from Stresa to Alba. Youโ€™ll stop along the way in Monferrato for an independent visit of  Monferrato villages. Countless hills stretch as far as the eye can see, where ancient villages and castles are perched, a succession of gentle slopes planted with vines the rows of which make geometric shapes. This is the magnificent scenery of the Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato, and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Later youโ€™ll stop in Asti, a picturesque and charming town, opening onto the triangular shaped Piazza Alfieri, where the famous Palio (horse race) is run, each year since the 13th century. Among the architectural landmarks are noble palaces, towers and ancient churches, and the majestic gothic Cathedral di Asti Santa Maria.  Before reaching Alba, youโ€™ll have time to visit a charming wine estate and enjoy a commented wine tasting.
