The recommended season for this adventure is during the months of September to mid-May, when the days are not very warm.

How is the weather in this experience?

Accepted Answer

The weather during the experience can be very hot with daytime temperatures ranging from 17 to 34°C. Nighttime temperatures in the desert can drop to 5°C, especially in January and February.

Where does the experience start? Will you pick me up at the airport or hotel?

Accepted Answer

The experience begins in Marrakech. Upon arrival in the city the guide will pick you up at Marrakech-Menara International Airport (RAK) for transfer to the hotel. It is necessary to inform your guide through the internal chat about the flight schedules with 30 days in advance.

Are there any medical or vaccination requirements?

Currently there are no mandatory vaccinations for visiting Morocco, however it is recommended to have the vaccines against tetanus, typhoid, hepatitis A and B. We suggest you check directly with the embassy for all travel information.

What happens if I get sick or injured during the trip and I can&#x27;t go on?

It is always important to have travel insurance. Any situation first is to warn your guide, depending on the case the necessary assistance will be given and even if it is required to finish the experience.There assistance and an available car to take injured people to the nearest hospital.

What currency do you recommend I bring? Where can I change?

Accepted Answer

The currency used in Morocco is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD). We recommend you to change to the local currency before arriving in the country. It is also possible to bring USD and change upon arrival in the country. Few of the commercial establishments accept international credit and debit cards.

Does not include international and local flights, travel insurance, food and beverages not mentioned, tips, other personal expenses. We recommend that you bring about $70 USD per day for general expenses.

Do I have free time during the activities of the experience?

Depending on the day, once the scheduled activities are over, you will generally be able to enjoy free time to relax and take pictures. This time will be announced by the guide at the beginning of your experience.

After the scheduled activities you can get to know your fellow travelers better, explore the area and enjoy the nature around you. 
In Marrakech you can visit the Medina Souks, the Djemaa El Fna, the medersa Ben Youssef,  Koutoubia Mosque, Saadina Tombs, the beautiful Bahia Palace, Marrakech Museum and more. 
Consult your guide for more information about the places you can visit. Activities and visits during free time are not included.

This experience includes 06 breakfasts, 03 lunches and 06 dinners. With typical flavors of the region including vegetarian salad, main menu (Moroccan food like tagine, vegetables, meat, chicken, soup, bread), water and dessert (fruits, coffee and tea).

Meal options can vary from $9 to $25 USD. We recommend bringing a daily total of approximately $50 USD for days when lunch or dinner are not included.

This experience includes a comfortable and central accommodation in Marrakech: Hotel Riad (03 stars) or similar - Private double room. Comfortable accommodation in Boumalne Dades: Hotel Riad Boumalne Dades (03 stars) or similar - Private double room. Luxury camp in the Sahara Desert: Private double occupancy tents. NOTE: The hotels/cabins are subject to change without notice upon arrival, you can request more information or confirmation by chat directly to your guide 1 week before your arrival.

What happens if I’m traveling by myself? Is it possible?

Of course you can travel alone, but you must add a mandatory individual supplement. With this supplement, you guarantee a private room just for you. To avoid this supplement you can assign the following date during 2021: November 22 and January 24.  In the section "extras" you can see more information.

What is the minimum and maximum age? Does the price change for minors?

The minimum recommended age for this adventure is 5 years old. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult (+18). 
The experience is recommended for people up to 70 years of age who are in good physical condition.

If I arrive a day early or leave a day late, where can I stay?

For this experience, the departure and return are in Marrakech. If you wish to take additional nights in these cities, consult the “extra” section or  with your guide through the traveler&#x27;s chat within your session, to know which are the best options.

Wifi is available in all the planned hotels, but not in the Sahara Desert. For internet and phone coverage, please check with your local company. If you wish, you can buy a local SIM card to keep in touch.

Yes, you can charge your electronic devices in the hotels provided, however it is recommended to bring a battery or powerbank to charge your electronic devices.

The common voltage in Morocco is 220V with a frequency of 50 Hz. The plugs have two round pins type C and E. The official outlets are type E and F. Mexican and Colombian travelers may need an adapter.

Morocco does not require insurance, but we recommend a complete medical insurance that covers any eventuality such as delay or cancellation of flights, it is also suggested to cover major medical expenses for any type of emergency.

Do I need any special equipment? What kind of clothing do I need?

Walking shoes, comfortable and light clothing, jacket, warm clothes for the night, hat, sunscreen, camera.  
It is suggested to avoid wearing shorts or skirts to respect the local customs.

What size backpack or suitcase do you recommend I bring?

It is recommended that you carry a small suitcase only with the things that you need. Also a small bag or backpack to carry during the day.

Do I need a visa to enter the country?

Accepted Answer

It is necessary to check directly with the embassy in your country to confirm if there are any visa requirements. This will depend on the nationality; some nationalities do require a visa to enter Morocco. You must follow the instructions of the embassy to make the application. It is also important that the passport has at least six months validity from the return of the trip. ###MX 
For travelers who have a Mexican passport, it is NOT necessary to have a visa to enter the Kingdom of Morocco. Similarly, it is required to have proof of departure, ie have a return ticket purchased.

Travelers with Colombian passport, need to have a visa to enter Morocco. It has an approximate cost of $220 MAD/Moroccan Dirham ($92,087 COP) must be requested 45 days before the planned date of departure from Colombia.
