The menus are basic, but with the caloric content necessary for the demand of this experience. They are usually combinations of:
Breakfast: scrambled eggs, ham, butter, jam, tea, coffee, chocolate, bread.
Lunch: rice, noodle, with poultry or beef, green salad or cooked vegetables.
Dinner: rice, noodle, with poultry or beef, green salad or cooked vegetables.

What day will we have cell phone signal and / or electricity?

Electricity: day 1 before leaving, day 5 on bus station (with payment to charge cell phones 1 usd), day 6 and 7. Cell phone signal: day 1 until 10:00 am, day 5 from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, day 6 until 10:00 am, day 6 from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

What is the Bolivian exchange?

The currency used in Bolivia is the Boliviano (Bs). We recommend you to change to the local currency before arriving to the country. It is also possible to change at the arrival of the country in some exchange houses and ATMs. Not all commercial establishments accept international credit and debit cards, so it is recommended to carry some cash on hand.

How big are the groups?

The groups are of a maximum of 12 people for Andean mountains and 18 for Uyuni Salt Flats. The 4x4 vehicles travel in caravans and in each vehicle there is space for up to 6 passengers traveling in a very comfortable way.

How is the weather in Bolivia?

Within the experience we will be in temperatures between -10 and 20 degrees Celsius. The rainy season goes from January to April (It is when the "mirror" effect is created in the salar). You can review a little more of the weather in the following league:

What kind of sleeping bag should I have?

The necessary basic is a sleeping bag for 0 degree Celsius comfort. We recommend you one of -5 Celsius comfort. But a -10 C Comfort is always better.

Do I need some kind of technical or climbing equipment?

Accepted Answer

No, we will not be going through any technical routes. We do recommend trekking poles, which will make your hike a bit easier and will take some load off your knees.

Can we store luggage somewhere?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can store the necessary luggage for day 6 and 7, in our offices or in private transportation. So you can make the trek from day 1 to 5 lighter.

How much is driving on the 5th day?

Accepted Answer

An average of 6 hours per day is conducted. But we will always make enough stops at the points of interest, apart from the fact that the transports are very comfortable.

Will I get altitude sickness?

Accepted Answer

We are all vulnerable to altitude sickness. So we recommend you arrive one night before La Paz, to have a little acclimatization before the adventure starts. The guides are prepared to help you at any time. It is important to hydrate continuously throughout the days.

How much water do I have to carry?

For days 1,2,3, 4 and 5 you must bring only a 2 liter bottle, during the tour we fill them. They should take at least 2 L per day. For days 6 and 7 we recommend buying 2 bottles for days in Uyuni.

What extra expenses are there during the tour?

For days where food is not included we recommend taking at least $5 USD per meal. The entrance to the Salar has a cost of 26 usd for the community. If you want to drink beers or alcoholic beverages, we also recommend you take extra money. Our recommendation is to bring at least $15 USD for extra daily expenses.

Is a meal included in the bus trip?

The bus does not include food, you must take a sandwich for the road. The guide informs you of that need on the third day and will give you the options.

Arriving in Uyuni on the 6th, where can I have breakfast?

On day 6 you can arrive in 2 tourist places (The guide will inform you) and the cost is $5 USD for American style breakfast. However, the guide offers you the market that we highly recommend.

What kind of 4x4 vehicles are?

They are Toyotas Land Cruiser from the year 2000 - 2005. We are very fond of these vehicles because they are ideal for the hostile terrain where we drive.

On day 6 can we get into the hot springs?

Yes, and we try to arrive at times when there are less tourist. swimsuits are needed and we recommend carrying a towel. It is an amazing place and you can relax a little before your return.

What currency do you recommend to bring?

We recommend taking American dollars and exchange them in La Paz. You can notify your guide via WhatsApp, to send the money changer to your hotel or to the address where you are.
