Arusha To Tarangire

On the initial morning of your journey, depart your Hotel around 7:00 AM for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2-hour drive away. Upon reaching your chosen lodge or camp around midday, check in, enjoy lunch, and relax. Later, embark on your first Serengeti National Park game drive, optimal in the late afternoon for active wildlife sightings. Return to the lodge at sunset, freshen up, and delight in a delicious dinner. Spend the evening around a campfire or enjoying lodge amenities.

Tarangire National Park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which sustains wildlife during the dry season. Known for its vast elephant herds, the park also hosts a variety of other animals such as lions, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and even tree-climbing lions.
Day 2 Ngorongoro Crater

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Entrance, while your guide handles the necessary registration formalities at the Authority offices, you’ll have approximately 10 minutes to explore the area or use the facilities. Following registration, your adventure into the Ngorongoro Crater commences.

The crater boasts a distinct ecosystem that supports over 25,000 resident animals. Within its grass steppes and acacia forests, you can encounter nearly every species typical of the East African savanna, including the renowned Big Five {rhinoceros, elephant, Cape buffalo, lion, and leopard}. Additionally, the crater is home to large herds of wildebeest and zebra, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, hippopotamus, African cape buffalo, lions, hyenas, serval cats, and close to 400 species of birds.
Day 3 Serengeti National Park

As you reach the hilltop, the expansive Serengeti unfolds before your eyes, stretching endlessly in every direction. Serengeti, meaning ’endless plains’ in Kiswahili, spans 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers) and is home to over 2 million large animals, including over a million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. This abundance of prey attracts large predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, which follow the migration patterns throughout the park. Additionally, numerous smaller animals such as rock hyraxes, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, African hares, and nearly 500 bird species also inhabit the area.
