      Visiting the Purcari Winery โ€“ a French-style castle. On our way to Purcari, we will visit the church in the Causeni village built-in 1763 (with unordinary frescoes). Excursion+tasting+lunch with selected wines. Possibility to buy premium wines. Returning to the hotel in Chisinau.

      It is famous for its well-preserved cave monasteries. This territory was isolated from the outer world and it is supposed that,  when Christians came here, the caves were been already cut in the rocks by prehistoric tribes who had lived in the area. 

      The Christians probably used the existing caves but the expansion of monastic life in the later middle ages and frequent Crimean and Budjak Tatar raids forced the monks to go deeper into inaccessible cliffs. They expanded the existing caves and created new ones. Some caves are well preserved nowadays.  It is famous for its well-preserved cave monasteries.

      The underground kingdom "Pivniลฃele din BrฤƒneลŸti" (Brฤƒneศ™ti Cellars) is located in a scenic area in the coast of Orheiul Vechi. It always arouses the astonishment of numerous local and foreign visitors. BrฤƒneลŸti Winery is set in an old limestone mine, over 400 years old, whose galleries stretch over 75 km. The entire construction is at least 60 meters deep, ensuring a constant temperature of 12-14 degrees throughout the year and a humidity level of 90-92%, ideal for aging wine. 


      These natural conditions are complemented by the artisans who turn grapes into delicious wine. The winery has about 800 hectares of its own vineyards in a beautiful forested area on the slopes of Orheiul Vechi, and also close to the villages of RomaneลŸti and Tudora. "Pivniลฃele din BrฤƒneลŸti" produces white and red wines, sparkling, dry, semi-dry, and dessert. Particularly popular are the collection wines and the wines produced by special technology, such as Madeira, Marsala, pastoral wine, the oldest wines being from the 1986-1989 year of harvest.


      The winery is pioneering the first underground hotel in Moldova and is developing a unique โ€œStone Ageโ€ tourist complex. This will offer visitors an opportunity to experience life in a cave, as it would have been in the Stone Age, with small touches of the modern epoch. Here you can enjoy cave life away from the noise of modern civilization and everyday worries. Underground there is no internet or mobile connection, though you can reach the mobile network at the main entrance to the complex.


      A special place is the underground concert hall with special acoustics, where poetry recitals, concerts, and other cultural events take place. Also here, is planned to open soon a Wine Spa, where special wine tubs will be placed to pamper tourists.

      Return to hotel.
