We will pass by the area of an old abandoned mine and may see some old tools as well as the remains of a plane that crashed around world war 2. Throughout the day we will pass by some of the highest peaks of this area, many which are also among the highest ones in Sweden. The names of the peaks are characterized by both 'westerners' and by the Sami. During the breaks we will learn more about the Sami names of different areas as they tell us a lot which a map can not, such as if a river is possible to cross by foot or if one has to swim.
Before reaching our destination for the evening we will pass by the "Ghost Stone" which is a well known place for experienced Sarek trekkers. Expect to be outside the whole day, and on the move about 6-8 hours with plenty of breaks.

Day 5 is usually spent as a rest day, to relax by the camp or make a small excursion. We may make a small excursion to the top of Lรฅddebรกkte 1539 meters above sea level. We are now in the heart of Sarek, with views into the major valleys. This is very dependant on the weather and the energy of our group and our schedule. If we can not rest the whole day, we try to make this a shorter day where we only move a few kilometres.

Day 6: Trekking in through Rapadalen
Stop At: Rapa Valley, 962 02 Jokkmokk, Sweden
After the morning coffee and breakfast out in the open, we must pass by some cold streams. This is usually done in the morning as the levels are significantly lower. After descending about 400 meters we reach the shores of the river Rรกhpaรคdno and the place called "The Predator Square" as tracks from the four large predators was once spotted here during the same day - bear, wolf, wolverine and lynx. Our plan is to trek through and along the mighty valley of Rapadalen. This is where the largest moose of Europe come and if we are lucky, we get to spot one from some distance. Since they are not used to being hunted by humans, they are more likely to not be afraid. Vegetation in here can sometimes be quite rough but we try to find a nice camping spot where we can all pitch our tents in close proximity. Perhaps we will eat dinner on one of the banks by the river before some well deserved sleep.

Day 7: From Rapadalen valley to the tree line

Our goal of the day will be to continue our way through the Rapadalen and eventually we will aim for the tree line. Once we gain some elevation, the terrain will be easier and the views of the delta landscape down below will open up. The contrast of the thickness of the forest and the weather up above is distinct. This is the last night camping out of the civilization, some may long for the warm shower while others wish it would never end.

We may spend some extra time lingering around camp to process the nature around us before setting out for the day. A stop by the famous mountain of Skierfe is usually worth the extra effort and by now we will have the best chance to meet other humans passing by on the King's Trail.
