Delve into the historical and geological wonders of รžingvellir, where you can traverse the dramatic rift valley and delve into Icelandโ€™s captivating history, as this site marks the founding location of the Icelandic Parliament (Alรพingi) in 930 AD.


      Continuing the odyssey, the path leads to the Geysir geothermal area, where powerful geysers burst forth in a captivating display. Experience the excitement of watching Strokkur geyser shoot scalding water high into the air every 10-15 minutes. Next, venture to the awe-inspiring Gullfoss waterfall, one of Icelandโ€™s most iconic natural marvels. Stand in awe of the sheer power and beauty of the cascading falls before pausing for a lunch break at this remarkable site.


      Following lunch, your adventure carries you toward the South Coast. Our first South Coast stop is at the enchanting Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can stroll behind the falling curtain of water for a unique perspective. A brief drive further east reveals the magnificent Skรณgafoss waterfall, renowned for its impressive height and the resounding crash of water. Capture breathtaking photos and feel the mist on your face as you bask in the grandeur of these majestic falls.


      Next, explore the black sand expanse of Reynisfjara Beach, celebrated for its striking basalt formations and towering sea stacks. Roam the otherworldly terrain and acquaint yourself with the captivating folklore surrounding this area.       Following a delightful breakfast at your hotel, a new day of exploration awaits you. Commence your journey by visiting the quaint coastal village of Vรญk, renowned for its picturesque black sand beaches and dramatic rock formations. Behold the awe-inspiring vistas of the Reynisdrangar sea stacks before continuing your adventure.


      Upon reaching Vรญk, youโ€™ll have the option to partake in the Katla Ice Cave tour, an enchanting natural marvel concealed beneath the Mรฝrdalsjรถkull glacier. Explore the ice cave and be mesmerized by the striking blue hues and intricate ice formations. Alternatively, you can opt to spend some leisure time exploring the area and immersing yourself in the tranquil beauty of the surrounding landscapes.


      Following your ice cave adventure, savor a delectable lunch in Vรญk before embarking on a journey to the magnificent Fjaรฐrรกrgljรบfur canyon. Stroll along the canyonโ€™s edge and be entranced by the vast scale and splendor of this geological wonder. Continuing eastward, youโ€™ll reach Jรถkulsรกrlรณn, a glacial lagoon teeming with colossal icebergs. Revel in the mesmerizing spectacle of icebergs drifting in the crystal-clear waters. Be sure not to miss the nearby Diamond Beach, just a short 5-minute walk from the lagoon, where ice fragments from the lagoon wash up on the black sand, creating a magical contrast.


      In the late afternoon, make your way to your hotel in the Hรถfn area, a place to unwind and contemplate the dayโ€™s remarkable escapades.

Todayโ€™s journey carries you to the remote and breathtaking eastern part of Iceland. Traverse the awe-inspiring road that winds along the seaside at Hvalรกrskriรฐur and รžvottรกrskriรฐur, leading to Djรบpivogur, a charming fishing village celebrated for its picturesque harbor and magnificent mountain vistas. Take a moment to wander through the village, soaking in the serenity of this coastal jewel. Djรบpivogur is also famous for the "Eggs in Gleรฐivรญk" (Merry Bay Harbour), an open-air art installation showcasing 34 species of local birdsโ€™ eggs.


      Continue your drive to Egilsstaรฐir. During the summer, we will follow the ร–xi highland route, passing by a series of cascading waterfalls. However, in the winter months, we will follow the coastline, passing through various coastal fishing villages. Upon reaching Egilsstaรฐir, you can relish a delectable lunch and take a well-deserved break before the next leg of your journey. Subsequently, make your way to Borgarfjรถrรฐur Eystri, a hidden gem renowned for its puffin colonies and rugged natural beauty. Observe these endearing seabirds in their native habitat and explore the charming village. Itโ€™s important to note that puffins are only present here during the summer months, from the end of April until the end of August.


      Next, venture to Vรถk Baths, a geothermal oasis nestled on the shores of Lake Urriรฐavatn. Indulge in the warm, soothing waters and relish the panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains and landscapes. Unwind and recharge in these natural hot springs. If you prefer, you can opt to skip the Vรถk Baths and explore Egilsstaรฐir independently. We will reconvene at Egilsstaรฐir and check into the hotel for the night.

  • Day 4 North Iceland, Lake Mรฝvatn & Akureyri

      Following a delectable breakfast and completing the check-out process at the hotel, itโ€™s time to once again hit the road. Launch your day by exploring the western side of Stuรฐlagil Canyon, renowned for its striking basalt columns and the stunning blue glacial river. Delve into this hidden treasure and bear witness to the extraordinary formations that make it a haven for photographers.


      The next stop on your journey is Dettifoss, Europeโ€™s mightiest waterfall. Experience the unbridled force and listen to the resounding roar as the water plunges into the canyon below. Take your time to absorb the sheer magnitude and majesty of this natural wonder.


      From there, your route takes you to the Lake Mรฝvatn area. Your visit begins at the Nรกmaskarรฐ geothermal area, famed for its otherworldly landscapes and bubbling mud pots. Stroll amidst the steaming vents and vibrant mineral deposits, gaining an up-close glimpse of Icelandโ€™s geothermal activity.


      Your adventure proceeds with a visit to Dimmuborgir, a mystical lava field adorned with eerie rock formations and lava pillars. Explore the region and uncover the folklore and legends that shroud these dark and dramatic landscapes.


      Next, journey to Skรบtustaรฐagรญgar, an assembly of pseudocraters formed by volcanic activity. Walk along the rim of these distinctive formations and relish the panoramic views of the surroundings.

Drive to Glaumbรฆr, a historic turf farm and open-air museum that offers a window into Icelandโ€™s rural heritage.       On the last day of the tour, youโ€™ll start the day with a breakfast at the hotel before checking out. In the morning youโ€™ll start by exploring Snรฆfellsnes Peninsula, a captivating journey through Icelandโ€™s diverse landscapes and rich culture. 


      Our first stop is the unique Berserkjahraun Lava Field, steeped in captivating folklore. Next, we visit the iconic Mt. Kirkjufell and Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall, perfect for photography. Snรฆfellsjรถkull National Park showcases diverse, stunning scenery and the glacier-capped Snรฆfellsjรถkull volcano. Djรบpalรณnssandur Beach is a mystical location, with black sands and a haunting shipwreck. Lรณndrangar Basalt Cliffs offer dramatic photo opportunities, accompanied by intriguing tales. Arnarstapi village is a quaint coastal gem with a rich history and picturesque harbor.


      The Bรบรฐir Black Church is an iconic architectural gem surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Ytri-Tunga Seal Beach provides a unique chance to observe seals before our return to Reykjavรญk, passing mesmerizing landscapes.


      Once we have made our last stop at the Snรฆfellsnes Peninsula, weโ€™ll head back to Reykjavรญk where youโ€™ll be dropped off and say goodbye to your fellow travellers.
