A tour representative awaits for you to greet you upon your arrival to Cusco and take you to your hotel. This is a free day that helps you to get used to the alttitude of the city, we suggest arriving on an early flight.

This day you start off with a yummy breakfast and take the tour towards Chinchero, where you see Inca buildings and the small colonial church; you also participate in the elaboration of Andean textiles. Next, you visit the famous circular terraces of Moray. From here the tour goes on to the Saltmines of Maras, which has more than 3000 salt mines, this salt was used by the Incas for human consumption. Finally you head to Ollantaytambo to take the train (Expedition by Peru Rail or Voyager by Inca Rail) to Aguas Calientes.

You continue the visit towards the famous circular crop terraces of Moray.
You proceed with the tour towards the Maras Salt Mines, which boasts over 3000 salt ponds, used by the Incas for consumption.
You take the opportunity to capture photos and videos of this impressive location.
On the way to Ollantaytambo, you make a brief stop in Urubamba for lunch.
Eventually, you continue the journey towards the Ollantaytambo station to catch the train (Peru Rail's Expedition or Inca Rail's Voyager) for a little over an hour and a half to Aguas Calientes.
Upon arrival, you check into the hotel and rest.

You wake up very early, have breakfast, and take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. The tour guide gives you a detailed explanation on this historical sanctuary; when the tour is done you go back to Aguas Calientes to have lunch and later board the train to Ollantaytambo. From here you finally go back to your hotel in Cusco to rest.

Note: The entrance ticket to Machu Picchu may vary depending on availability. The number of entries for each circuit is regulated in order to preserve this Historic Sanctuary.
You finish your visit to the Machu Picchu Citadel and return to Aguas Calientes.
You continue the day with the train journey (Expedition by Peru Rail or Voyager by Inca Rail) back to Ollantaytambo.
Finally, you'll be transferred to Cusco using the experience's transportation. Upon arrival, you'll check in at the hotel, have time for dinner (not included), and recharge for the next day.

The activities of this day start very early to head towards Mollepata, located 2 and a half hours from Cusco, where you have a nutritious breakfast.
You continue on the road for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
You begin the ascent amidst a great diversity of flora and fauna inhabiting the area. During the hike, you can observe different bird species typical of the region, as well as the marvelous landscape.
You continue along the path until you reach the beautiful Humantay Lagoon, a wonderful place that captivates every person who visits with its crystal-clear water, surrounding mountains, and a unique view.
You have time to enjoy the nature of this place, take incredible photos, and finally conclude the visit with lunch.
Note: The physical effort level for this day is high.
Note: The maximum altitude of this hike is 5,000 meters above sea level, so it's important to be in good physical condition.
Note: You can rent transportation on a horse to help you with the ascent. Horse rental (optional) at the destination usually ranges from $25 to $50 USD; the price fluctuates directly at the destination according to supply and demand, and payment is made directly at the destination. The people who rent the horse at Laguna Humantay are frequently individuals who only speak the 'Quechua' language, so you should consider asking your guide for support to avoid any difficulty when renting it.
Upon completing this activity, you will return to the city of Cusco via private transportation, with an approximate duration of 3 and a half hours.
Once in Cusco, you will have the opportunity to rest at the hotel and recharge energy for the following day.

You wake up very early and leave the hotel heading towards the road for approximately 3 hours to reach the starting point of the hike towards Vinicunca or Winikunka, better known as the "montaรฑa de los 7 colores".
You begin the hike and along the way, you'll observe breathtaking landscapes, alpacas, llamas, and vicuรฑas.
The ascent is a demanding hike that can take about 2 hours at a considerable altitude. Upon reaching the mountain, you'll have enough time to take photos and enjoy this incredible place. Keep in mind that the maximum altitude of this hike is 5,000 meters above sea level, so it's important to be in good physical condition.
The different minerals found in the mountain give it different hues including pinks, greens, whites, yellows, among others, creating a beautiful view and giving rise to its multiple names, including Cerro Colorado, Rainbow Mountain, and Mountain of Colors.
The descent from the mountain usually takes about 1 and a half hours.
Later, you'll have lunch and prepare for the return to Cusco.

Note: In case Vinicunca is closed due to unforeseen circumstances, Palcoyo will be offered as an alternative, also known as the Cordillera of Colors. Its route is less demanding than the long trek to Vinicunca. This change will be made in specific cases and is not optional.
You spend this last day at your leisure and keep exploring the magical Cusco. Later, according to your flight schedule (we suggest to book a flight that departs after 2 pm), you are driven to the airport for your trip back home.
We recommend that you stay at least one more day in Cusco, since you will not have enough time to get to know and discover everything that this city has for you. We recommend including the City tour or if you prefer to add an additional excursion you can add them in the Extras section.
