Day 1: Arrive in Lhasa

Stop At: Potala Palace, No.35 Gongqian Alley, Beijing Middle Road Cheng Guan District, Lhasa 850000 China
Welcome to Tibet. As soon as you arrive in Lhasa, our professional tour guide will greet you and give you a warm welcome at the airport or the train station. Then, you will be driven to your hotel. The day is free for you when you arrive at the hotel. You can have a visit to Potala Square. But I suggest youโ€™d better have a good rest in your hotel because you need to have enough time to adapt to the high altitude sickness. Drink more water, eat more fruits, and avoid fierce activities. Do not go far away from your hotel, because you may be in trouble if you have no tour guide with you.

Day 2: Lhasa Tour - Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, and Barkhor Street

As the landmark of the capital city of Tibet, Potala Palace is the must-see historic spot for all the travelers who plan a Tibet tour. With white and red walls, Potala Palace is the highest building in Lhasa. It plays an important role in Tibetan culture and Tibetan history. Built-in the 7th century, Potala Palace was used as the winter palace for Dalai Lama. All the ancient and precious antiques displayed in the palace witnessed the history of Tibet. The gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet are the highlights in this palace.

Stop At: Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Chengguan District, Lhasa 850000 China
In the afternoon, we will visit the most sacred temple in Tibet, Jokhang Temple. It was built in the 7th century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve brought by Wencheng Princess is worshiped by numerous Buddhists from Nepal, Tibet, India, and other countries.

Stop At: Barkhor Street, Chengguan District, Lhasa 851500 China
Outside of this holy temple, you can see the busy Barkhor Street circling around. Here, you can buy all kinds of souvenirs at a proper price. Hada, paintings, Buddha statues, traditional clothes can be found in those stores. There are some old local tea houses, and you can taste their sweet tea in those tea houses.

Day 3: Lhasa Tour - Drepung and Sera Monastery

Stop At: Drepung Monastery (Zhebang Si), Southern Slope of Genpeiwuzi Mountain, Chengguan District, Lhasa 850000 China
Tibetan Buddhism has several sections, Gelug Section is one of the branches. In Lhasa, there are two famous Gelug monasteries which are worthy of being recommended to you, the Drepung Monastery and the Sera Monastery.
In the morning, your tour guide will take you to visit Gelug monasteries which were built in 1416. Here, you can see the biggest monastery kitchen. After that, your tour guide will take you to visit the Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.

Stop At: Sera Monastery, Wuze Hill , Sera Chengguan District, Lhasa 850000 China
After lunch, it is time to witness the famous and fierce Buddhist debate in Sera Monastery. From 3 PM - 5 PM, Sera Monastery will be gathered by hundreds of monks. Then Buddhist theories will be debated fiercely among them, which is a way to test their Buddhism knowledge.

Day 4: Lhasa to Shigatse

Stop At: Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, Langkazi Country, Nagarze County 851100 China
In the early morning, we will be driven to Shigatse from Lhasa city. On the way to Shigatse, we will stop at some famous attractions and have a visit. When we arrive in the Gampala pass, we can see the famous holy lake - Yamdrok-Tso Lake. In the distance of Yamdrok-Tso, you can see the snowy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar guarding this holy land. It is said that this mountain is the incarnation of a young man.

Stop At: Palkhor Monastery and Kumbum Stupa, Northwest of the County, Gyangze County 857400 China
Then, we will go on heading forward. Along the way, you will visit and cross these attractions such as Korola Glacier, Manak Dam Lake, Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum in Gyantse. When we arrive in Gyantse, we are very close to Shigatse. After one and a half an hour drive, we arrive at the destination. Shigatse is the second-largest city in Tibet. It is also a hot tourist destination for travelers. Because the highest mountain in the world is situated here.

Day 5: Shigatse(3900m) to Lhasa(3650m)

Stop At: Tashilunpo Monastery, Jijilangka Road, Shigatse 857001 China
In Shigatse, we plan to visit the famous monastery Tashilunpo Monastery. As the home of Panchan Lama, Tashilunpo Monastery is visited by thousands of travelers every day. In the monastery, you can have a chance to see the largest statue of Jampa in the world. After visiting it. We will drive back to Lhasa city. Following along the Yalong Valley, you can see the breathtaking scenery along the way.

Day 6: Lhasa - Namtso 220 km(B)

Stop At: Lake Namtso, Nakchu Region, Damxung County China
Get up early and drive from Lhasa to Lake Namtso. Namtso is the highest salt Lake in the world with an altitude of 4718M, also the largest lake in Tibet. Along the way, you can see the numerous snow-capped Nyenchen Thanglha Mountain Ranges and countless plateau yaks, grasslands.....Because of the cold climate in winter, the lake ice gradually becomes very thick, but around next May, all those ice begins to melt. Then the ice cracks and at the same time, it makes a loud noise.....this is a real natural wonder.
About 4 hours we will arrive at Namtso Lake, when arrival, we can arrange our free time to do some leisure trek, like walk around Tashi Island or go to explore it's around the scenery. In the night, with the good weather conditions, we can get the view of the milky way beside the lakeshore.

Day 7: Lake Namtso back to Lhasa via Yangpachen (5 hours)

Stop At: Yangpachen Hot springs, Yangpachen Town, Lhasa China
You can choose to get up early to enjoy the sunrise view of Namtso, during the way we drive back to Lhasa, you may enjoy the Natural Wonder-- Yangpachen hot spring.

If you have interests, you can take a bath in the hot spring, it is very good for your health, and also can help you remove your pressure and fatigue. After it, we will head back to Lhasa.
