Day 2: Saghmosavank - Saint George`s Monastery - Tsakhevank
Stop At: Saghmosavank Monastery, Artashavan 0211 Armenia
Saghmosavank is a 13th-century Armenian monastic complex situated atop the precipitous gorge carved by the Kasagh river. You just have to stand alone on the edge of the canyon, to feel the wind blowing on your face and be fascinated by the caves. A manuscript was built in the monastery in 1255. Saint George's Monastery of Mughni was one of the important pilgrimages of the medieval Armenia. It was founded in the first half of the 14th century. Arai Ler (Mount Ara) situated atop of the Tsakhevank. The rock-cut monastery seems to be the symbol of strong faith. The most delusional wish of each pilgrim who visits this place comes true by the force of great belief as well as many diseases are cured here. The pilgrims also come here for the curative water. According to the tradition the water pouring from the ceiling of the cave are the tears of a virgin named Tsaghik (flower), these tears are healing and make dreams come true. During the tour we will find out why this area is also called the shrine of virgin Varvare and what curative features the water pouring from the ceiling have.

It makes you feel like you are embracing the blue-eyed treasure โ Lake Sevan, which is the second high-altitude freshwater lake after Lake Titicaca in South America
