Day 5: Ioannina - Meteora - Kalambaka

The Holy Trinity Monastery at Meteora is one of the most photographed monuments in the area. At the same time its the most difficult to reach. For those who will attempt to reach it will be rewarded with the panoramic view of the surroundings which is simply captivating!
Attention: First you have to follow a path south to the foot of the rock, before working your way up 140 steps.

Day 6: Kalambaka - Igoumenitsa - Corfu

Igoumenitsa is a coastal city in northwestern Greece. Igoumenitsa is the chief port of Thesprotia and Epirus and one of the largest passenger ports of Greece, connecting northwestern Mainland Greece with the Ionian Islands and Italy.
Upon arrival, getting the Ferry from Igoumenitsa to Corfu. Sailing time around 2 hours.

Saint Spyridon Church is a Greek Orthodox church located in Corfu, Greece. It was built in the 1580s. It houses the relics of Saint Spyridon and it is located in the old town of Corfu. It is a single-nave basilica and its bell tower is the highest in the Ionian Islands. It is the most famous church in Corfu.

The Town Hall of Corfu is housed in an elegant mansion of Venetian style, constructed in the late 17th century. At first, it used to be a club for noblemen, then a theatre and in 1903 it was turned into the Town Hall.

The historical Aragonese Castle (Castello Alfonsino di Brindisi),
is located on the edge of the Isola Sant’Andrea that sits on the northern edge of the port.
Constructed in the 16th century, the castle served as a defensive fortification and protection for the entrance of the port of Brindisi.
The structure features a myriad of different towers, keeps and walkways and the battlements offer fantastic views of the port and the Adriatic Sea.

Brindisi has several important religious structures and the Church of Santa Maria del Casale is one of the most beautiful and renowned.

The Castello Svevo (Houhenstaufen Castle) is a castle built around 1132 by Norman King Roger II. It was destroyed in 1156 by king William I of Sicily and rebuilt and reinforced in 1233 by the Holy Roman emperor Fredrick II. During the Angevin domination, it went through several transformation, and at the end, it was transformed into a prison and barracks. It is mainly composed of the Aragon walls and the main Hohenstaufen tower, and is currently used for exhibitions.
