  • Day 1 Day 1: Yerevan-Noravank-Smbataberd-Yeghegis (14 Km Hike, 6H)

      Day 1: Yerevan-Noravank-Smbataberd-Yeghegis (14 Km Hike, 6H)

      Your first day will begin with a trip to the southern part of the country, you will be picked up in Yerevan from your hotel and will be taken to the monastery of Khor Virap, jewel of the early days of Christendom overlooking the fertile plain of Ararat, cradle important of the Armenian civilization. Then, we will join our first hiking trail located in the region of Vayots Dzor (Valley of Suffering), important stronghold of the Armenian nobility, in the village of Amaghou, from where we will start a descent through a canyon reminiscent of west to reach the Noravank Monastery, a 13th century medieval masterpiece. We will have a picnic nearby and continue on our way to the Tsakhats Kar Monastery and the Smbataberd Fortress, jewels of Bagratid Armenia, before heading to our guest house in the village of Yeghegis.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Yeghegis-Tatev-Goris (Hiking 6 Kms, 3H)

      We will drive us from Yeghegis to lead us to the southernmost region of Armenia, Syunik. We will stop en route to admire the megalithic complex of Karahunge, Armenian "stonehenge". Then, we will be transported to our trail in the Vorotan Gorge, where we will walk to have a picnic at the Tatevi Anapat Monastery, annex of the Tatev Monastery, overlooking the Vorotan Gorge, which we will reach later. The monastery was an important cultural, political and military center for Armenians in their resistance to foreign invasions. We will then take the Tatev cable car to reach Halidzor where our vehicle will be waiting to transport us to Goris where we will have dinner and spend the night in a comfortable guest house.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Goris-Noradouz (Hiking 4 Kms, 2H)

      In the early morning, we will explore Goris and its fairy chimneys and chapels located in the old Goris. We will go up the hill of Lasti Khut which dominates the city and offers a magnificent overview. Going down to Goris, we will have a meal in our guest house before leaving it to take the direction of the north by this time branching out in the region of Lake Sevan by the Selim pass and its caravanserai that once served as a stopover for travelers great trade routes. We will reach the village of Noradouz where we will discover the largest ensemble of Khachkars (stone crosses) of the present republic of Armenia. We will have a picnic and we can go to our guest house in the village to spend the night.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Noradouz-Gosh-Dilijan-Ijevan (Hiking 10Kms, 4-5H)

      Day 4: Noradouz-Gosh-Dilijan-Ijevan (Hiking 10Kms, 4-5H)

      In the morning, we will head north, stopping at the Sevan Peninsula to admire the 9th century Sevanavank Monastery and its panoramic view of the lake. Then, we will enter the green region of Dilijan where we will make our first hike in the forest of the monastery of Gosh, quite dense, where there is a small lake in a clearing. Then we will return to the monastery to be taken to Dilijan and find a second path where we will reach this time two monasteries buried in the forest, Jukhtak Vank and Matosavank. After these hikes, we will take a well deserved rest to discover the city of Dilijan, Armenian spa and privileged place of rest. We will enjoy our packed lunches. At the end of the day, we will be driven further north, to Ijevan, capital of the province, in a comfortable guesthouse.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Ijevan-Yenokavan-Ijevan (Hiking 5Kms, 3-4H)

      The seventh day will be a very interesting day of relaxation in the mountains from the village of Yenokavan, which offers landscapes that easily evoke Switzerland. We will begin a hike to the site of Lastiver located below, at the bottom of the valley, where you can swim in the river and its fabulous waterfalls. After our picnic, we will go back to the village of Yenokavan where you will have a free afternoon.

      You can choose (at your own expense) enjoy the many activities on offer (horse riding and zip-line among others) or simply relax. We will return to our cottage in Ijevan in the early evening.


  • Day 6 Day 6: Ijevan-Haghpat-Sanahin-Odzun-Haghpat (Hiking 9Kms, 4-5 Hours)

      Day 6: Ijevan-Haghpat-Sanahin-Odzun-Haghpat (Hiking 9Kms, 4-5 Hours)

      This penultimate day will be devoted to the Lori with one of the most beautiful hikes of your stay. The day will begin with a visit to the monastery of Haghpat, then, we will begin our hike rich in monuments and sites of interest, stopping at the sites of Kusanats Anapat, Zarniayr, Kayanapert, the Church of St. Karapet and the monastery of Sanahin one of the most famous masterpieces of Armenian architecture also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and then discover the 7-storey tower and arrive at our final point which is the Sanahin Bridge located below on the Debed River, important river of Armenia. We will discover during this day landscapes combining steep canyons dug with a divine hand with soft and green landscapes. At the end of the day, you will be taken to the monastery of Odzun where a magnificent monastery of the 5th century overlooks the valley of Debed. After the visit, we will return to our bivouac in Haghpat.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Haghpat-Lake Qari-Mt.Aragats-Yerevan (Hiking 14 Kms, 7-8 Hours)

      Day 7: Haghpat-Lake Qari-Mt.Aragats-Yerevan (Hiking 14 Kms, 7-8 Hours)

      Our last day will offer us an alpine window, with the ascent of the highest peak of the current republic of Armenia, the Aragats, 4090 meters high. We leave Haghpat very early in the morning to head to the central region of Aragatsotn where our vehicle will transport us to Lake Qari, beautiful mountain lake with crystal water, located at 3185 meters above sea level. We will begin our ascent to the southern summit of Aragats. At the top, we will have a picnic. Then, we will go down to our lake where our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Yerevan to your hotel.
