      You leave the desert behind and make your way to Swakopmund. On the way you will enjoy the view of the fascinating passing landscapes of the Namib and the Kuiseb Canyon. Once you arrive in Solitaire, take a break. Try the famous apple pie from the local bakery (not included) - a real treat for the palate! During a first tour of Swakopmund you will get to know the small town with German heritage. 1 night in Swakopmund. (F)

      The reserve extends around a salt pan of about 5,000 square meters, which is mostly dried up and covered by a fine salt crust that attracts wildlife of all kinds. You will move into your lodge there for the next two nights. (F)

      In the morning you will learn more about the way of life and traditions of the San people. The village is a "living" museum created by the Bushman community itself. Experience how the San make jewelry or shoot with bow and arrow and try to speak a word in the impressive click language. A long drive towards and through the Caprivi Strip follows, but it is well worth the wait. 1 night in a camp in the eastern Caprivi. (B/A)

      At the four-country corner, you cross the border into the landlocked country in Southern Africa.
