      Individual arrival of the participants to Whitehorse. Welcome to Canadaโ€™s Yukon! Welcome and reception of the tour participants at the airport or hotel by the local, German-speaking tour guide. Transfer to the hotel. Meeting and getting to know the tour group.   • Day 2 Day 2: Whitehorse - Skagway

      Day 2: Whitehorse - Skagway

      We travel south along the Klondike Highway. Scenic sights invite to short stops. For example at the Carcross Desert - the smallest desert in the world. Of course, you will also be able to marvel at Emerald Lake, which fascinates with its turquoise color. This lake is also called Rainbow Lake by the locals because of its sensational water coloring. You will have the opportunity to take part in a spectacular train ride over the infamous White Pass (optional). (Hotel overnight stay in Skagway).

      Day 3: Skagway - Haines

      Today we will have a look at the gold mining town of Skagway. In a guided tour you will learn something about the history of the small town. Afterwards we will take the ferry to Haines, where we will also have a short city tour. In the evening we enjoy a real Canadian / American BBQ. (Hotel overnight stay in Haines).

      Day 4: Haines

      This day offers the choice between nature moments and small walks around Haines or an optional excursion to the capital of Alaska, Juneau. A three-hour cruise will take you through the Inside Passage to Juneau. There you can examine the city and the local glacier (Mendenhall Glacier). In the evening, the boat will return to Haines. The boat also stops now and then on the way, should there be sightings of marine life, which happens quite often (whales, seals, sea lions,...).

      Today we are heading back to Canada. On the Haines Road, which connects Haines (Alaska) and Haines Junction via Haines Pass, there are more than enough reasons to stop again and again. The landscapes, views and impressions you experience here are unforgettable. Arriving in Haines Junction we will take a short walk along the Dezadeash River. (Hotel overnight in Haines Junction).

      Today we have planned more short walks in Kluane National Park. This national park, which is one of the largest and most beautiful in Canada, invites you to explore nature just by looking at it. If you are interested, we also offer half day hikes. You also have the option of taking one of the scenic flights into Kluane National Park, which is home to the largest non-polar ice field in the world. A flight over these giant glaciers and the highest mountains in North America is not to be missed. (Hotel overnight in Haines Junction).

      Day 7: Haines Junction - Whitehorse

      Today can be used again in the morning to take the sightseeing flights into the Kluane National Park. Afterwards we will drive on the Alaska Highway towards Whitehorse. On the way we will stop for photos and at โ€™Long ago peoples placeโ€™, a small camp of First Nations. There we will follow a guided tour through this camp and learn about the life of the indigenous people in the far north of Canada. Depending on time, we may visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve in the late afternoon, where we can meet many Yukon animals and take a leisurely walk. (Hotel overnight in Whitehorse)

      Day 8: Departure Whitehorse

      The provincial capital of the Yukon still offers a wealth of possibilities on the last day of your eventful trip, e.g. shorter excursions in the surrounding area or the final visit to some local sights: Such as the worldโ€™s longest wooden salmon staircase or the Transportation Museum. However, if you just want to relax at the end of this great round trip with all the fresh impressions or do some shopping before returning home to Europe, you will have enough time and opportunity for that today as well. Transfer to Whitehorse airport or individual connection program.
