  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival Whitehorse

      Day 1: Arrival Whitehorse

      Transfer to your hotel and meet your guide who will tell you some things about your upcoming adventure. The rest of the day you can stroll through the small town along the Yukon River. In the evening we will welcome you with a welcome dinner and you will get to know the other tour participants.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Skagway

      Day 2: Skagway

      Day tour and visit to the old coastal gold mining town of Skagway. We head south on the Klondike Highway. Scenic sights invite to short stops. For example at the Carcross Desert - the smallest desert in the world - and of course you will be able to marvel at Emerald Lake. This lake was also called Rainbow-Lake by the locals because of its sensational water coloring. Possibility to participate in a spectacular train ride over the infamous White Pass (optional).

      Day 3: Whitehorse City Tour, Drive To Watson Lake

      Today we visit, among other things, the faithfully restored paddle steamer S.S. Klondike and let ourselves be transported back to the time of the first gold seekers. During our tour through Whitehorse we will see many more interesting relics from earlier days. In the afternoon we start our adventure and drive towards Yellowknife. We drive the Alaska Highway, past Marsh Lake, through Teslin, over the "Nisutlin Bay Bridge" and cross the longest bridge on the Alaska Highway. On the way you will already learn a lot about the legendary structure, the Alaska Highway. In Watson Lake in the evening there is the possibility to go to the Northern Lights Space and Science Centre and watch one of the magnificent Northern Lights shows.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Muncho Lake Provincial Park, Bc

      Day 4: Muncho Lake Provincial Park, Bc

      Watson Lake is known for its sign forest, which now includes about 50,000 street, place and other signs from around the world. If you have one in your suitcase, you can put it there, too.
      The drive continues into the heart of Canadaโ€™s northern Rocky Mountains. There, abundant wildlife awaits you. Discover the "Serengeti of the North," the Muskwa-Kechika Nature Reserve. Hike mountain trails in Muncho Lake Provincial Park. In addition, there is the possibility to visit the nearby Liard Hot Springs, probably the most beautiful hot springs in Canada, in the evening.

      Today we will do some hiking in the beautiful Provincial Park. If you want, spend a few hours canoeing on Muncho Lake. Great chance to relax with peace and wilderness.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Fort Nelson, Bc

      The drive today is to Fort Nelson. The former fur trading center is now mainly dedicated to the timber and gas industry. On the way there it will be almost impossible not to see animals: The nearly uninhabited northeast of British Columbia is home to mountain goats, bison, moose, caribou, and deer, as well as wolves, coyotes, foxes, grizzlies, black bears, and lynx. Take time to photograph along the way.

      From Fort Nelson we drive the Liard Highway in northern direction. The natural road, passable in all weathers, promises impressive panoramic views of the Nahanni Mountains and the Liard River, especially in the "Blackstone Territorial Park". Welcome to the Northwest Territories. As soon as we arrive in the Northwest Territories, we pass Fort Liard. The village consisting of log cabins is located in one of the oldest permanently settled areas of the North. The birch bark baskets made here, decorated with traditional Dene Indian patterns, are famous throughout the North. With a population of 1,200, Fort Simpson, located at the confluence of the Liard and Mackenzie Rivers, is the largest in the region and also the starting point for tours into Nahanni National Park. Visit the visitor center to inquire about tours into the park. As the tours are highly weather dependent, we will spend 3 nights in Fort Simpson.

  • Day 8 Days 8-9: Fort Simpson

      On one of the two days in Fort Simpson you can take a small plane to the Nahanni On one of the two days in Fort Simpson you can take a small plane to the Nahanni National Park and land directly above the breathtaking Virgina Falls (optional). During the flight there you wonโ€™t be able to stop marveling at the magnificent scenery. The other day we will use to get to know Fort Simpson. There are possibilities to go jet-boating on the Mackenzie River, paddling through the park on the South Nahanni or Flat River or to go for a short hike. The numerous mountains and canyons make for great hikes that are rewarded with fantastic views.

  • Day 9 Day 10: Hay River

      On the drive to Hay River, we detour to Lady Evelyn Falls and McNallie Creek Falls - a picnic opportunity with fantastic views! On hiking trails we reach picturesque waterfalls and a deep gorge. Hay River itself is the starting point for tours on or to Great Slave Lake and known from the series "Ice Pilots". At the airport there you will surely see a plane of the legendary "Buffalo Air".

  • Day 10 Day 11: Hay River

      Day 11: Hay River

      From Hay River we take a trip to Twin Falls Gorge Territorial Park and enjoy the approximately 2 km long hiking trail between Alexandra and Louise Falls. The Louise Falls have carved their way through 400 million year old rock. The Dene Indians of this area call Alexandra Falls "Hatto deh Naili", the "Sacred Place of Power". With luck we will also see some bison / buffalo from nearby Wood Buffalo National Park.

  • Day 11 Day 12: Fort Providence

      In the morning we will take a small fishing boat tour on Great Slave Lake. In the afternoon we drive to Fort Providence. In the local handicraft store you will find a rich selection of woven goods made of moose hair. With a little luck we will have the opportunity to watch the Northern Lights live.

  • Day 12 Day 13: Drive To Yellowknife

      Day 13: Drive To Yellowknife

      The drive to Yellowknife passes through the Mackenzie Bison Sanctuary, a sanctuary for bison. Watch for wildlife on and off the road. Along the way, stop for a picnic lunch at Chan Lake - a scenic place to eat and enjoy. Yellowknife is not only the capital of the Northwest Territories, but is known worldwide as the Diamond Capital. This small town with big city amenities is made up of more than 90 different nations. Once founded on wealth from gold mines, diamonds now provide a certain glamour. There is much to see here and even more to do! Canoeing, hiking, fishing, golfing and swimming. We visit the Prince of Wales Cultural Center and / or the igloo-shaped Parliament Building.

  • Day 13 Day 14: Yellowknife

      Day 14: Yellowknife

      We drive along the Ingraham Trail and visit Cameron Falls, the last waterfalls on our tour. Hiking, canoeing or boating on Prelude Lake beckon along the route. We stop here for a small picnic. In winter, the Ingraham Trail is the starting point for one of the famous "Ice Roads" from the series Ice Road Truckers. A farewell dinner and an evening visit to a bar in Yellowknife conclude a great and unforgettable vacation.
