      Excursion to the La Griveliรจre valley near Vieux Habitants to the Paradis river. You reach a waterfall in the heart of the tropical forest - an extraordinary place surrounded by lush vegetation. Take a dip in the crystal-clear water. In the afternoon, visit the "Habitation Vanibel", where you will see how vanilla is grown and how coffee is made - from cultivation to tasting the in-house coffee. Then return to the hotel.       High above the town of Saint-Claude towers the Soufriรจre volcano, which you will climb today - an extraordinary volcanic experience. Impressive fumaroles can be observed around the gigantic craters. After a rum punch and lunch, drive to the ferry port and cross over to Dominica. Pick up and drive to Soufriรจre, overnight stay in the guest house. (Walking time approx. 5h, 350 mโ†‘โ†“).

      Day 4: Snorkeling At Champagne Reef And Cooking Class With Daria Eugene

      You will be picked up at the guest house and meander along the winding coastal road to Champagne Reef. Various tropical fish and corals can be admired while snorkeling directly from the beach. The highlight is the eponymous bubbles that rise from the rocky underwater rock. While snorkeling, you will also pass places where the seawater is heated by volcanic activity. Afterwards, you will have some time to swim and relax on the champagne reef. You then leave the coast and drive steeply up into the green mountains of Dominica. You are welcomed at Daria Eugeneโ€™s house, surrounded by scattered houses and with a view as far as the sea. Together with the lively Dominican woman, you will cook Caribbean specialties, which you will eat for dinner. There will certainly be no shortage of fun. Tonight you will spend the night in the central mountainous region of Dominica. Overnight stay in a guest house. (Travel time approx. 1h, 30 km).

      Today you will experience first-hand how the earth bubbles beneath you as your path leads you to the boiling lake - a crater lake on the flattened summit of a volcano. Your hike begins in the lush green rainforest. You ascend over wooden steps, roots and forest paths and pass one or two rivers over large boulders. You will need to be very sure-footed and you will also use your trekking poles and hands from time to time today. In the Valley of Desolation, a steep and rocky area, the volcanism of the region is evident in the different rock colors and you will soon see the first fumaroles and steaming sulphur streams. It is a surreal area through which your challenging trail leads and you wonโ€™t be able to get enough of this absolutely spectacular scenery. Truly a day full of unique natural spectacles! If you like, you can relax and drift through the breathtaking Titou Gorge after the hike. High above you, the lush green of tree ferns and lianas greets you between the rock faces, with a waterfall rushing at the end (life jackets available for a fee).       Day 6: Hiking To Middleham Falls And Around Freshwater Lake

      After breakfast, you start todayโ€™s stage of the Waitukubuli National Trail directly from your accommodation. Todayโ€™s hike is significantly less challenging than the previous day. You hike through wonderful primary forest to the Middleham Falls, which plunge down through dense vegetation. You hike in serpentines to the water basin below the falls, where you can enjoy a wonderful swim. Your vehicle will then take you to Freshwater Lake. This crater lake, which was formed millions of years ago, is bathed in mist and tranquillity, and there is always a pleasant breeze. It is the largest lake on the island and supplies the Titou Gorge and Trafalgar Falls with water. A 1.5-hour hike along rainforest paths and along the ridges offers great panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding area - all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. A fortifying callaloo soup, a specialty on Dominica, awaits you before you continue to the northeast of the island. Overnight stay in a guest house.       The Kalinago Caribs still live on the east coast today, having retreated here after the Spanish invasion. On todayโ€™s hiking stage, your guide will introduce you to the indigenous way of life and the ancient knowledge of this indigenous people. The trail takes you along the rugged east coast of Dominica, where you will meet villagers along the way and have the opportunity to talk to them. You will also visit the Barana Autรช museum village, where you can learn more about the Kalinago people and culture. Then drive along the beautiful north coast to Portsmouth and spend the night in a hotel. (Travel time approx. 1.5 hours, 50 km; walking time approx. 3 hours, 7 km).

      Today you will explore the north coast of Dominica by land and sea. The route leads over volcanic terrain and through dry forest. On the way, you will visit the cold sulphur springs in Penville and enjoy spectacular views of the neighboring islands of Guadeloupe, Marie Galante and Les Saintes. You stop for lunch with a local family in the village of Capuchin. From here, you will continue to the fishing boats, where you will get to know the last section of the Waitukubuli National Trail. You will circle Cabrits National Park as well as Prince Rupert and Douglas Bay. Along the way, you will learn more about the local fishing industry and the smuggling stories of times gone by. After docking, there is time for a swim at Purple Turtle beach. Overnight stay as on the previous day.

      This morning, take a boat trip on the Indian River and marvel at the mighty vegetation. Again and again, crabs and water birds can be spotted on the banks. And along the way, look out for the filming locations of the famous movie "Pirates of the Caribbean". In the afternoon, you can swim in the sea or go snorkeling from the beach.       Relax today on one of the most beautiful beaches on the north coast, which is right in front of your hotel. After such impressive days between rainforest, volcanism and wild cliffs, it is a pleasure to put your feet in the Caribbean sand for a few hours. In the afternoon, another highlight is on the program: you set off on a whale watching tour by boat. Dominica is the only country where sperm whales live all year round. The giants of the oceans are most frequently encountered between November and March. Overnight stay as on the previous day.

      After breakfast, drive to the port in Roseau and take the ferry to Guadeloupe (approx. 2.5 hours). Arrival in Le Gosier around midday. Pick up at the port and transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Travel time approx. 2h, 80 km).

      Hike from the Porte dโ€™Enfer, the "Gates of Hell", to the "Souffleur" water fountain and the "Trou de Man Coco". Then lunch and transfer to Sainte Anne and time to swim and relax on the beautiful sandy beach. Return to the hotel in the evening.

      On the Caravelle peninsula, a short hike to the lighthouse, a beautiful view over the island and the sea, and a detour into the mangroves await you today. Afterwards you will leave the north of the island and drive to the Habitation Clรฉment, a former sugar cane plantation and rum distillery. After a visit, they continue to Les Salines beach at Sainte Anne. After a Creole lunch where you can stretch your feet in the soft sand, there will be plenty of time for swimming on one of the most beautiful beaches in Martinique. Return to the hotel.
