      Flight from Frankfurt to Tashkent. Arrival and reception by your tour guide and transfer to the hotel.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Tashkent

      Day 2: Tashkent

      Today you start the day with a tour of the Uzbek capital Tashkent, which was already an important trading center in the 16th century. You will visit the oriental old town with the Barak Khan madrasah and an old library, which exhibits an original Koran from the 7th century. You will visit the Kaffal Shashi mausoleum and stroll through the old town. Afterwards, a journey back in time to the first half of the 19th century awaits you during a visit to the Museum of Applied Arts, which has over 7,000 exhibits on display. During a subsequent metro ride on the only metro in the whole of Central Asia, you will see further highlights of the city, such as the various metro stations, which are designed with different motifs. This is followed by a tour of the modern part of the capital, where you will see Independence Square, the monument to earthquake victims and Navoi Theater Square.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Tashkent - Margilan - Rishtan - Kokand

      Day 3: Tashkent - Margilan - Rishtan - Kokand

      You will go by train to the Fergana Valley to Margilan. In Margilan you will visit the local silk factory. The quality and design of Uzbek silk fabrics are appreciated far beyond the borders of the country. In Rishtan you will visit a ceramics workshop and afterwards you will get an insight into the art of carpet weaving at a Kyrgyz family. Afterwards you will continue your journey to Kokand.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Kokand - Tashkent

      Day 4: Kokand - Tashkent

      Today you will visit the largest oasis in Central Asia - Kokand, the city framed by mountains almost 4,700 meters high. You will visit Khudoyar Khan palace, Modari Khan mausoleum and Chane cemetery. You will change to individual cars (3 persons per car) and drive from Fergana Valley over the mountain pass back to Tashkent (driving time about 5 hrs).

  • Day 5 Day 5: Tashkent - Urgentsch - Khiva

      Day 5: Tashkent - Urgentsch - Khiva

      After your breakfast you will drive to the airport and fly to Urgentsch. Upon arrival, transfer to Khiva. The 2,500 year old oasis city is a jewel in turquoise with its intact old city walls: oriental ornamentation, shady courtyards, the warm glow of the walls made of clay as well as mosques, medreses, mausoleums and minarets - all decorated with thousands of turquoise tiles. In the morning you will stroll through the alleys and see the unique monuments: the minaret Kelte Minar and the medrese Muhammad Amin Khan, the Friday Mosque with a wooden ceiling supported by 213 columns, the Kunya Ark citadel, the medrese Islam Khodja with minaret as well as the Pachlavan Machmud complex and the Tash Hauli palace. Dinner will be in the traditional teahouse Zarafshan with choresm folklore.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Khiva - Bukhara

      Day 6: Khiva - Bukhara

      Your route today will take you from Khiva to Bukhara, a city that has been nicknamed "The Noble" since ancient times. You will arrive at your hotel in the late afternoon and then take another stroll through the Old Quarter, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which creates an exotic oriental atmosphere with its numerous mausoleums, mosques and madrasas. Among other things, you will see the Chor Minor Mosque, which will remind you of the Taj Mahal from India.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Bukhara

      Day 7: Bukhara

      During a detailed city tour you will discover the Ark Fortress, former seat of government and palace of the rulers of Bukhara, the Bolo Hauz Mosque and the Poikalon complex. Then you will see the market domes with three bazaar centers that originally housed cap sellers, jewelers and money changers, as well as the Labi Hauz complex and the Jewish quarter with the synagogue. The successful end of the day is a wonderful folklore and fashion show at the Medrese Nodir Devon Begi (weather permitting). Today a dinner with classical music awaits you in a traditional restaurant.

      Day 8: Bukhara - Samarkand

      During another sightseeing tour you will again have the opportunity to discover the fascinating city. You will visit the Samanid Tomb, a small building characterized only by brick ornaments, which is so impressive precisely because of its simplicity, and the mausoleum Chashma Ayub with a conical roof and several domes. How wealthy merchants and traders lived in Bukhara 100 years ago, you can see in the house of the merchant Khodjaev. The complex consisting of several buildings serves as a museum today. In the afternoon the train will take you to Samarkand, the city of fairy tales from "One Thousand and One Nights".

      Day 9: Samarkand

      The more than 3,000 year old "Pearl of the Silk Road" wants you to explore. You will discover the Shahi Zinda Necropolis, an archaeological and architectural memorial complex, and the Bibi Khanum Mosque, once one of the largest structures in the Islamic world. After the visit, the route takes you to a colorful bazaar. This is followed by the highlight with a visit to the landmark of Uzbekistan - Registan Square! The sight of turquoise domes, mighty portals, mosaic panels and ornate columns like in an oriental fairy tale will enchant you. Finally, you will visit the Gur Emir Mausoleum and in the evening you will have a traditional dinner with an Uzbek family.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Samarkand

      Day 10: Samarkand

      Today you will visit the museum of Afrasiab with its impressive murals and an adjacent excavation field and learn about the centuries-old tradition during a visit to a paper manufactory. Samarkand paper is produced from the fibers of the mulberry tree, henna and rose water and is known for its bright color and fragrance. In the afternoon you will make a detour to the Ulug Bek observatory and go to the theater of oriental costumes.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Samarkand - Tashkent

      Day 11: Samarkand - Tashkent

      Itโ€™s back to Tashkent, where things get colorful again in the afternoon. You will visit the Chrosu Bazaar, a traditional bazaar in the center of the old city in a turquoise dome building, and stroll along the pedestrian zone (former Broadway), where you can watch street painters at work. In the evening there will be a farewell dinner to review the experiences of the trip.
