We recommend this adventure all year round especially from April to October, we recommend to avoid February when it can be very cold.

The weather during the experience can vary from 4°C at night to 25°C during the day.

Where does the experience start? Will you pick me up at the airport or hotel?

Accepted Answer

The experience begins in Cusco. The first day you can be picked up at the hotel. You must send the information of your arrival and departure flights (within the internal chat in your session) at least 30 days before your arrival and confirm that your guide has received them.

Are there any medical or vaccination requirements?

It is recommended to consult your local doctor and to know the official information before the trip. There are currently no mandatory vaccinations for visiting Peru, however, we recommend vaccinations for tetanus, diphtheria, polio and yellow fever.

What happens if I get sick or injured during the trip and I can&#x27;t go on?

It is always important to have travel insurance. Any situation first is to warn your guide, depending on the case the necessary assistance will be given and even if it is required to finish the experience.

What currency do you recommend I bring? Where can I change?

Accepted Answer

The currency used in Peru is the sol (S/). We recommend that you change into your local currency before arriving in the country. It is also possible to bring USD and change upon arrival in the country. Most commercial establishments accept international credit and debit cards. Smaller towns may not have ATMs, so it is recommended that you carry some cash on hand. Please note that S/100 or S/200 notes may be difficult to change.

International flights, travel insurance, meals not mentioned in the itinerary, drinks, tips, other personal expenses. We recommend that you bring about $60 USD for general expenses.

This experience includes 06 breakfast, 03 lunches, 03 snacks and 03 dinners, most of them buffet style. If you have allergies, vegetarian or vegan diets please inform your guide when booking your trip.

Meal options can be found from $10 USD. We recommend bringing a total of approximately $70 USD for the entire experience.

This experience includes planned accommodation in Playa Rosalina: Playa Rosalina Camp - Tent for 2 people. Choquequirao: Choquequirao Camp - Tent for 2 people. Chiquisca: Chiquisca Camp - 2 people tent. Aguas Calientes: Hotel la Cabaña Machu Picchu (01 star) or similar - Double private room. NOTE: The hotels are subject to change without previous notice at your arrival to the destination, you can ask for more information or confirmation through the Chat directly to your guide 1 week before your arrival.

What happens if I’m traveling by myself? Is it possible?

Of course, you can travel alone, but you must add a mandatory individual supplement. With this supplement, you guarantee a private room just for you. In the section "extras" you can see more information. If you don&#x27;t want to pay the extra you should select some of the following start dates during 2021: July 26, August 09 or December 13. In the "extras" section you can see more information. There is also the option of booking the private room for yourself.

The minimum age for this adventure is 6. Children between 6 and 12 years old must always be accompanied by an adult.

For this experience, the departure and return are in Cusco. If you wish to take additional nights in this city, consult the “extra” section or with your guide through the traveler&#x27;s chat within your session, the best options.

Wifi is available at the hotel in Aguas Calientes. For Internet and Phone coverage, please check with your local company. If you wish, you can purchase a local SIM card to keep in touch. At the camps you can pay $5 USD to use Wifi.

In Peru the common voltage is 220V with frequency of 60 Hz. the plugs can have two round pins type Cor two flat pins type A, so you may need an adapter. The official outlets are type E and F.

The first day you will be picked up at the hotel at 5:30 in the morning and taken directly to Cachora where the trek begins.

It is necessary to check directly with your country&#x27;s embassy to confirm if there are any visa requirements. This will depend on your nationality; some nationalities do require a visa to enter Peru. It is also important that the passport has at least six months validity from the return of the trip. For travelers holding a Mexican passport, a visa is NOT required to enter Peru. For travelers with Colombian passports, it is NOT necessary to have a visa to enter Peru.
