  • Day 1 Day 7: Svanetia

      Day 7: Svanetia

      By off-road vehicles you will set out for the highest, year-round inhabited place in Europe, Ushguli (2,200 m above sea level). Due to the difficult accessibility, the villages in northern Svanetia have been isolated for a long time, thus preserving their original charm. Mountains, medieval villages and fortified towers characterize the landscape. In Ushguli you will enter the largest of the towers, which houses a small collection of Christian icons. After lunch in a local guesthouse, on the way back to Mestia you will see the "Tower of Love" and learn about the legend surrounding this structure. You will make a stop at Tetnuldi Ski Resort or Shchara Viewpoint to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of the summit-rich surrounding countryside. (B/M)

  • Day 2 Day 2: Tbilisi

      Day 2: Tbilisi

      You will land early in the morning and will be warmly welcomed by your Georgian tour guide. After your arrival you will move into your room and have a short rest until breakfast. Afterwards you will discover the old town of Tbilisi. In the narrow streets you will see finely carved wooden balconies and houses in Art Nouveau style. Tbilisi is also famous for its sulfur baths - you will pass the oldest ones on your tour. If you feel like trying out the hot health baths yourself, you have the option of visiting them in the evening (bookable on site). The Narikala Fortress, which is also part of the sightseeing program, towers above the old town. The cable car will take you up to the top - you can look forward to a magnificent view of the old town and the river. After lunch together, you will continue the city tour with a stroll through the pedestrian zone. The rest of the day is at your leisure. 1 night in Tbilisi. (B/M)

      Day 9: Free Time By The Sea

      Use the free morning to walk along the promenade or cool your feet in the sea at the city beach. If you wish, the tour guide will accompany you on an optional excursion to the Batumi Botanical Garden (35 โ‚ฌ p.p., min. 2 pers., please book when registering). At noon, take the bus back to the capital Tbilisi (travel time approx. 5 hrs.). 1 night in Tbilisi. (B/A)

  • Day 4 Day 3: To The North

      Day 3: To The North

      After breakfast you will drive to the ancient capital of the Georgian Kingdom, Mtskheta. Here you will see an ensemble that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the 6th century Dzhvari Church and the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Later, via the Georgian Army Road, you will reach the Ananuri Fortress, picturesquely situated on a hill overlooking the Jinvali Reservoir. A wonderful photo motif! Around noon, you will visit a local winery for a tasting of the regionโ€™s delicious wines. Your destination for the day today is the most famous ski resort in the country - Gudauri. You are now at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. In summer as in winter, the resort offers a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains of the Great Caucasus. 2 nights in Gudauri. (B/A)

  • Day 5 Day 6: World Heritage In Kutaisi

      Day 6: World Heritage In Kutaisi

      After breakfast visit Gelati Monastery and Academy from the 12th century (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The complex is considered an architectural masterpiece of the Golden Age in medieval Georgia. For its part, the Academy of Gelati was also an important scientific and cultural center. Afterwards, you will travel through Megrelia to lesser-known areas of Georgia. A nice stop awaits you in the ethno-village of Sisa Tura. Here you can taste delicious Megrelian specialties and get exciting insights into the culinary culture of the region. Then you will reach Svanetia, the region with the highest mountains, the oldest traditions and numerous mysterious watchtowers. Enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful landscape already during the approach. After a photo stop at Enguri reservoir you will reach the small town of Mestia. 2 nights there. (B/M)

  • Day 6 Day 4: The Great Caucasus

      Day 4: The Great Caucasus

      Look forward to an exciting excursion into the high mountains today. First, you will drive over the 2,380-meter-high Cross Pass to the village of Kasbegi. Here you will change into four-wheel drive vehicles, which will take you to one of the highest churches in Georgia. The Trinity Church of Gergeti offers a stunning view of the surrounding mountain ranges. If the weather cooperates, you can see as far as the second largest peak in Georgia - Mount Kazbek at 5,049 meters. You will then continue to the Dariali Gorge, where you will visit the monastery of the same name - also a feast for the eyes. You are now at the northernmost point of your journey, just a few kilometers away from the Georgian border with Russia. Via Kasbegi you will return to Gudauri. (B/A)

      Day 5: Cave Town Uplisziche

      On your way to Kutaisi, on the left bank of the Kura River, there is an ancient city whose dwellings and structures were cut into the rock as caves. During your walk you will see evidence and remains of various cultures from a period between 200 BC to the late Middle Ages. Another stop on the way to Kutaisi is Gori, the birthplace of Josef Stalin. Before dinner, visit the 11th century Bagrati Cathedral. 1 night in Kutaisi. (B/A)

  • Day 8 Day 8: Batumi

      Day 8: Batumi

      After an insight into everyday life, life and work of the people in the ethnographic museum in Mestia, we will go to Batumi, a modern city with a long beach promenade on the Black Sea coast in the west of Georgia. The old town as well as the new town are adorned with architectural features and sculptures, each telling its own story, for example the sculpture of "Ali and Nino", the "Georgian Alphabet" or the "Medea". After an orientation walk, you will have free time in the evening. From the roof terrace of your hotel you will have a beautiful view of the promenade, the so-called "Boulevard", the lighthouse and the Ferris wheel. How about a ride? 1 night in Batumi. (F)
