If you get up early, you will see the island of Ua Pou on the horizon at sunrise. This small island offers perhaps the most impressive mountain panorama of the Marquesas. If the weather is good, you can already see from the ship the mighty peaks of the more than ten basalt peaks that watch over the island with a height of more than 1000 meters. The Aranui docks at the pier of the main town of Hakahau. The crew quickly starts unloading the cargo destined for Ua Pou. You will take a short hike to a viewpoint over the bay. In Hakahau, you will have until late afternoon to explore the small town individually or take a swim in the bay. Overnight stay as on the previous day.
