  • Day 1 Day 1: Kuching

      Day 1: Kuching

      Arrival in Kuching and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. 3 nights at the Hotel Grand Margarita Kuching (upper middle class, national category: 5 stars).

  • Day 2 Day 2: Semenggok Nature Reserve

      Day 2: Semenggok Nature Reserve

      In the morning at feeding time, you will make an excursion to the orangutans at the Semenggok Rehabilitation Center (no guarantee that orangutans will appear for feeding). Return to Kuching with a city tour. A water cab will take you to a small Malaysian village where you will have lunch in a kampung house. You will also visit the oldest Chinese temple in Sarawak and stroll through the spice market along Gambier Street. Dinner at a local restaurant and return to your hotel. (Breakfast, lunch).

  • Day 3 Day 3: Excursion To Bako National Park

      Day 3: Excursion To Bako National Park

      Early in the morning departure by bus to the small village of Bako and from there by boat in half an hour to Bako National Park. Bako is one of the best places in Sarawak for observing animals in their natural environment. Explore the fascinating flora and fauna and, with a bit of luck, encounter the proboscis monkeys, which are only found on Borneo. Lunch in the form of a packed lunch. (Breakfast, lunch).

  • Day 4 Day 4: Kuching - Iban Longhouse

      Day 4: Kuching - Iban Longhouse

      Your jungle adventure begins today. The journey to the Iban longhouse is approx. 290 km and takes you through a varied landscape. On the way you will visit a market in the village of Serian. Lunch in the Chinese village of Lachau. Arriving at Batang Ai Lake, you cross over by boat (approx. 45 minutes) and reach the longhouse deep in the jungle. Here you say hello to the friendly Iban and enjoy a cup of tea. In the evening, you can watch the preparation of a simple jungle dinner. After dinner, you sit together with the indigenous people, listen to the sound of the gong and admire the war dance ceremony in full traditional costume. One night in a traditional longhouse (basic). (Breakfast, lunch, dinner).

  • Day 5 Day 5: Iban Longhouse - Kuching

      Day 5: Iban Longhouse - Kuching

      After breakfast, you will attend an interesting demonstration with a blowpipe. Afterwards, the trip continues on a dugout canoe on the river, which is partly overgrown with jungle, and from there to Kuching. You will have lunch en route. One night at The Waterfront Hotel Kuching (upper middle class, national category: 5 stars). (Breakfast, lunch).

  • Day 6 Day 6: Kuching - Mulu

      Day 6: Kuching - Mulu

      In the morning, transfer to the airport and approx. 90-minute flight from Kuching to Mulu. Transfer to the hotel. Lunch outside the resort. Discover a unique landscape with one of the largest cave systems in the world in Mulu National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site). A 45-minute hike takes you to the Lang Cave with its amazing rock formations. Continue to the Deer Cave. Afterwards you will go to the bat viewing platform and, with a bit of luck, witness the departure of these animals for their nocturnal hunt. 2 nights at the Mulu Marriott Resort (upper middle class, national category: 4 stars).   • Day 7 Day 7: Mulu

      Day 7: Mulu

      After breakfast, boat trip to the wind cave (approx. 30-40 min.). On the way you will visit a Penan settlement. Afterwards, a walk takes you to the Clearwater cave, which you visit after a short tea break. After lunch, which is served in the form of a picnic, you can swim in the clear waters outside the cave. Return to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. (Breakfast, lunch).

  • Day 8 Day 8: Mulu - Kota Kinabalu

      Day 8: Mulu - Kota Kinabalu

      Transfer to the airport and flight to Kota Kinabalu (arrival approx. 1.40 pm). During a city tour in the afternoon, you will get to know the Blue Mosque, admire the Chinese temple with the statue of the God of Mercy and much more. This evening you will be served traditional Kadazandusun cuisine in a local restaurant: This is one of Sabahโ€™s specialties - small dishes of fish, vegetables and meat. 2 nights at the Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu (upper middle class, national category: 4 stars). (Breakfast, dinner).

  • Day 9 Day 9: Kota Kinabalu

      Day 9: Kota Kinabalu

      In the morning, a 2-hour drive takes you to Kinabalu Park, where the mountain panorama of the 4,095-meter-high Mt. Kinabalu awaits you. This park is a botanical paradise. You take a walk and admire the multitude of orchids and rhododendrons as well as the mountain scenery. (Breakfast, lunch).

  • Day 10 Day 10: Kota Kinabalu

      Day 10: Kota Kinabalu

      Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and end of the trip. (Breakfast).
