      Welcome to take our China private tour with daily departure, which can be tailored to meet your individual interests. You will enjoy a more personalized experience as the trip is only for your private party, with no other people.

      Your guide will meet you outside the customs of Shanghai airport and transfer you to the hotel that we have reserved for you. The remaining time of the day is free for you to rest and get prepare for your Tibet tours adventure. 

  • Day 2 Shanghai

      After breakfast, your guide will accompany you to visit Shanghai Museum, praised as the largest Chinese ancient art gallery. Appreciate the excellent collections of potteries, porcelains, jades, paintings, seals and ancient furniture in the museum. After that, continue to the beautiful Yu Garden, an unsophisticated world in the bustling city. You will feast on the most elaborate man-made scenery of this Chinese classical garden and its traditional bazaar nearby. Later you will have an a la carte lunch at a famous local restaurant. 

      In the afternoon, you will be escorted to the Bund and have a short cruise tour along the Huangpu River. You will also have free time to take a walk along the Bund area and feel the rapid changes of this metropolis. After that, visit an old street in the city.

  • Day 3 Shanghai - Xian

      This morning we will transfer you to Shanghai Airport, where you will take a flight to Xiโ€™an. Your tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to visit the old Xiโ€™an City Wall. With a history of about 600 years, this is the most well-preserved city wall and the second-longest city wall in China. Then you will be guided to the most bustling and very atmospheric area in Xiโ€™an, the Muslim Quarter.

  • Day 4 Xian

      Your itinerary today starts with the worldโ€™s eighth wonder, the Terracotta Army. The museum houses the 2,200-year-old life size clay warriors and horses, as well as the delicate bronze vessels.  It is believed that the first Emperor of the Qin Dynasty (211-206 BC) constructed such a large army format aimed to protect his mausoleum. The excavation work is still ongoing up to today. Lunch is on your own, but your guide will give you some advice and assistance. After lunch, your guide will accompany you to the discoverโ€™s home - Mr. Yangโ€™s to learn some interesting stories behind the great discovery. Then guide you to a local workshop, where you will enjoy the fun of shaping clay into a vivid mini terracotta figure under the instruction of an artisan.

      The afternoon is devoted to the well-known Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to collect the valuable Buddhist sutras taken from India by the hierarch Xuanzang. This day will conclude at Great Tang All Day Mall, a prosperous Tang style quarter. Later transfer you back to your hotel.

  • Day 5 Xian - Lhasa

      Take an early morning flight to Lhasa. Your local guide will be at the airport to meet and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free. Try adapting to the high altitude first.

  • Day 6 Lhasa

      This morning, you will first visit the Norbulingka Park. It is also known as the โ€™Summer Palaceโ€™ in Lhasa because successive Dalai Lamas have handled political affairs and lived here during the summer months. Wandering inside the park, you will be amazed by the unique architectural style of the Tibetan palaces. Next turn to the Tibet Museum, a treasure house of the local cultural relics and a gem of the regional civilization. After lunch, you will go ahead to visit the Sera Monastery. Not only can one see the unique Tibetan Buddhist buildings but also be impressed by the precious Buddhist statues, sutras and murals in the monastery. You will be dazzled by the colorful frescos painted in the halls. The most unmissable highlight of Sera Monastery is the monk debating. A lot of monks gathered in a yard and then the debating begins.

  • Day 7 Lhasa

      Visit the Potala Palace, the highlight of our visit to Lhasa. With a history of 1,300 years, it is the most splendid building that combines the styles of Tibetan Buddhist temple and palace. The delicate cultural relics and beautiful murals in the palace will show you the glorious history and culture of Tibet. The over 59,800 square yards of colorful frescos in it are unique and wonderful.


      After lunch, proceed to the Jokhang Temple. Situated in the city center, the temple bears unparalleled status in the Tibetan Buddhism. The ancient temple, built in 647, is considered as a resourceful venue for visitors to learn about Buddhism. Continue to explore the surrounding of Barkhor Street, the symbol of the City. Paved by hand-polished stones, it is not a broad street but showing the original outlook of Lhasa. It could accommodate thousands of visitors daily. You will be fascinated by the old ethnic houses and various souvenirs available on this street. Finally, a visit to the nearby Nunnery will give you an insight of the Buddhist nuns.

  • Day 8 Lhasa - Gyangtse - Shigatse

      Lhasa - Gyangtse - Shigatse

      Today, you will take a long journey to Gyangtse with stop-offs at the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and the Karola Glacier. Upon your arrival in Gyangtse, you are going to visit the Palkhor Monastery. Reputed as the โ€™King of Tibet Pagodasโ€™, Palkhor Monastery is famous for its ingenious layout, unique appearance, fantastic sculptures and amazing murals inside. Then, have a stroll on Gyangtse Old Street. Finally, the private transfer will drive you to Shigatse and you will check in the best local hotel.

  • Day 9 Shigatse - Dingri

      Today, you are going to take the car to Dingri and you can enjoy the beautiful highland scenery along the way. First drop by the Sakya Monastery, which boasts its large collections of scriptures, housing as many as 84,000 scrolls including works of literature, history, arts, philosophy and mathematics. The next stop is Lhatse County, a small county where you can taste authentic local food and feel the primitive Tibetan atmosphere. You can also take a relaxed stroll around the street and then we will continue to drive to Dingri.

  • Day 10 Dingri - Everest Base Camp - Shigatse

      Dingri - Everest Base Camp - Shigatse

      Today will be an exciting day because you could appreciate the worldโ€™s highest mountain, Mt. Everest. You will first reach the Everest Base Camp, with an altitude of about 5,200 meters (17,060 ft.). This is the protected area of Mt. Everest and also the best place to capture the worldโ€™s highest peak. Then visit nearby Rongbuk Monastery, which is the highest monastery in the world. The five-story building nestling the mountain is one of the best points to view the mountain. Standing there, you will see a holy and pure picture of the Mt. Everest covered by white snow. After that, you will transfer back to Shigatse and stay at the best local hotel.

      Today, you will visit the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the largest Yellow Hat sect monastery in Tibet. The highlight here is the worldโ€™s largest bronze Buddhist statue which is 26 meters high.

      Continue the journey back to Lhasa. You will be very tired after this long drive, so please spend the rest of the day recovering from the fatigue of the trip.

      Your tour today starts at Tiananmen Square, the worldโ€™s largest square in the city center. Towards the north lies the magnificent Forbidden City. Built 600 years ago, it was the residence of the royal family and the office where emperors handled all political affairs and held ceremonial activities. Nowadays, it is opened to the public as a museum where traditional Chinese architecture, cultural relics and royal familiesโ€™ lives are displayed. 

      A la carte lunch will be at a well-known local restaurant which serves authentic Chinese food.

      In the afternoon, go to the Temple Heaven, once a sacred site for emperors to offer sacrifice to heaven in ancient times. Surrounded by two layers of walls, the main architecture features round rooftops and a square base as ancient Chinese people believed that the heaven is round and the earth is square.

      Todayโ€™s highlight is to visit Mutianyu Great Wall. The round-trip cable car is included. The restaurants nearby the site are of low standard, so we do not arrange the lunch today. It may be the best that you have a big breakfast at the hotel and have some fast food for lunch by yourself. Your guide will show you some restaurants. In the afternoon, we will drive you back to downtown and have a photo stop at the Birdโ€™s Nest (Olympic National Stadium), the major venue of the 29th Beijing Olympic Games. 


      After that, visit the Summer Palace, a fantastic royal garden for you to admire the peaceful landscape and magnificent architecture.
