We will rise early to arrive at Pompeii first thing in the morning. Pompeii was the Roman city at the foot of Mount Vesuvius which was buried under volcanic ash. It shows us how life was back in that period in a most realistic way. We will later go to the Gulf of Naples where we will take a fast boat to the famous island of Capri. Upon arriving to this beautiful island, we will go on a boat trip to the White Grotta, the Red Grotta and the Faraglioni as well as Marina Piccola. Once we return to the main port, there will be shuttle buses waiting for us to take us to the city of Capri where we will enjoy a free lunch at a typical restaurant. Next, weโ€™ll visit Termoli, a charming coastal city where the beach is framed by the walled old town, with its 13th-century castle and Romanesque cathedral as the main attractions. Youโ€™ll have time to enjoy lunch and take a leisurely walk. Weโ€™ll then continue to Trani, known as โ€œthe pearl of the Adriatic.โ€ This magnificent city embraces the sea and showcases its stunning pink Romanesque cathedral. Weโ€™ll arrive in Bari later in the day, where youโ€™ll have some free time to explore the lively port, stroll along the seafront, and wander through the old townโ€™s narrow alleys before heading to the hotel.

Here, youโ€™ll see the impressive Castello Aragonese, the old quarter, and the cathedral. Weโ€™ll return to Brindisi at the end of the day for our accommodation.

Next, weโ€™ll head to Matera, located in the Basilicata region, renowned for its ancient historic center and the Sassi di Materaโ€”a complex of ancient dwellings and buildings carved into the rock, dating back thousands of years. Not only is it a World Heritage Site, but also one of the oldest continuously inhabited human settlements in the world. Youโ€™ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch. Our journey will then take us to the Gulf of Salerno, where weโ€™ll stay in the city of Salerno.
