      Weโ€™ll meet you on arrival and transfer you to your hotel. This afternoon, discover Yangonโ€™s downtown area as you admire the cityโ€™s colonial architecture. Tonight, join fellow travellers and share in a welcome dinner at your hotel.

      Take a short ferry ride to the small rural village of Dala. Hop on a trishaw and visit a candle-making workshop. After lunch, enjoy your selected Freedom of Choice activity. Later, one of the worldโ€™s most famous pagoda awaits โ€“ the Shwedagon Pagoda. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

      Day 3: Yangon, Magwe, Embark Ship

      Board your included charter flight to Magwe, where you will be transferred to your floating hotel for the next seven nights. This afternoon visit Mya Tha Lon Pagoda, located atop a hill overlooking the Irrawaddy River. Explore the pagoda, constructed with thousands of solid gold bricks and home to numerous shrines devoted to nats (Buddhist spirits). You will also visit a Buddhist nunnery before experiencing the downtown area.

      Day 4: Salay

      In Salay, visit Yoke Sone Kyaung. Built in 1882, itโ€™s the regionโ€™s oldest surviving wooden monastery. Continue to Man Paya Pagoda, home to Myanmarโ€™s largest lacquer Buddha image dating back to the 13th century.

      Day 5: Bagan

      Journey to World Heritage-listed Bagan and experience a traditional elephant dance in New Bagan before visiting a lacquerware workshop. Later, explore some of the stunning temples including Ananda. Your day concludes with your special Signature Experience.

      You have the option to take in the plains of Bagan aboard a hot air balloon (own expense). Enjoy a choice of sightseeing today. After lunch on board, travel the village of Pakokku and explore local workshops consisting of cheroot (cigar) and textiles, including the famous Burmese sarong โ€“ the longyi.

      Disembark in Yandabo, a village known for its terracotta wares. See a pottery-making demonstration by local artisans and gain a glimpse into village life.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Sagaing, Mingun

      Day 8: Sagaing, Mingun

      Disembark in the former Royal capital of Sagaing, famous for its monasteries. Visit the gilded Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda, where you can take in breathtaking views over Sagaing. Afterwards, visit a silversmith workshop where items such as jewellery, bowls, and Buddha images are made. Afterwards, see the towering bronze bell, then continue to Myatheindan Pagoda. Tonight, enjoy an onboard cultural show from the Mandalay Fine Art School.

      Day 9: Mandalay, Amarapura

      In Mandalay, visit the Mahamuni Buddha, Shwenandaw Monastery, Kuthadaw Pagoda and attend a gold leaf workshop. Later, travel to Amarapura and visit a silk workshop before arriving at U-Bein Bridge for your Signature Experience.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Mandalay, Disembark Ship, Heho, Inle Lake

      Day 10: Mandalay, Disembark Ship, Heho, Inle Lake

      Disembark your ship and board your included flight to Heho, where youโ€™ll then set off to explore a local family-run workshop famous for making Shan paper. Afterwards, travel to the small town of Nyaung Shwe situated on the edge of Inle Lake. Youโ€™ll then transfer to your hotel, where the remainder of the day is yours to relax.

      Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, which houses five small golden Buddha images. Continue to Nga Phe Chaung Monastery, the oldest and largest monastery on the lake. Itโ€™s then time for a special dining experience at Inthar Heritage Restaurant. The owners have utilised their old family recipes to offer you a modern twist on the regionโ€™s cuisine. Following lunch, visit some of the local manufacturing workshops in the area including a silk factory, which is unique to the region as they use the silk spun from the stem of a lotus flower.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Inle Lake

      Day 12: Inle Lake

      Board a local boat and cruise past the floating gardens. You may even spot the local fisherman using the iconic one-legged fishing technique. Then travel to Indein Village to see the Shwe Indein Pagoda. Traverse narrow canals, gliding by paddy fields along the river banks. A gentle walk up a hill will bring you to hundreds of ancient stupas. Youโ€™ll also have the time for some retail therapy with a stop at a local market on your way back to your boat. After lunch, visit a local manufacturing workshop and perhaps meet some people from the Padaung Tribe, known for the women wearing the brass coils around their necks. Return to your hotel to take in a final sunset over Inle Lake before your farewell dinner.

      Board a coach to Heho, where an included flight returns you to Yangon where your journey concludes.
