Day 1: Arrival in Cairo - Welcome to the Land of the Pharaohs

Day 3: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours

Egypt's modern example of construction on a monumental scale, the controversial Aswan High Dam, 13km south of Aswan, contains 18 times the amount of material used in the Great Pyramid of Khufu and created Lake Nasser, one of the world's largest artificial lakes.
Most people visit the High Dam as part of an organised trip to sights south of Aswan. A visit here is often included with Philae's Temple of Isis, but can also be combined with a trip to the Kalabsha Temple.

Stop At: Philae, Aswan First, Aswan Governorate, Egypt
This beautiful temple complex is one of the most picturesque in all of Egypt. It sits on Aglika Island just south of the old Aswan Dam and you must ride a water taxi to the island to get to theruins. The temple was moved to its current location following the construction of the High Dam, which threatened to submerge it permanently.
The careful reconstruction at the current site carefully completed, painstakingly preserving the original appearance and layout of the complex and even landscaping the island to match its former location.

Stop At: Unfinished Obelisk, Sheyakhah Oula, Aswan Egypt
is a rare opportunity to consider what this process might have been like and just how difficult it was to shape and carve the great stone blocks that makeup Egyptโs many monuments.The construction began on the High Dam in 1960, it was the most heralded part of President Gamal Abdel Nasserโs effort to develop Egypt for all Egyptians.It was completed in 1971 and the huge reservoir behind it, named for President Nasser, finished filling in 1979.
It is an impressive sight and views south over Lake Nasser and north toward the old Aswan Dam are spectacular.

Day 4: Kom Ombo
Stop At: Temple of Kom Ombo, Nagoa Ash Shatb, Kom Ombo 81611 Egypt
Along with Esna and Edfu, Kom Ombo is the third major stop that most of the Nile cruises between Luxor and Aswan make on their journey. Located only 30 miles north of Aswan
however, The setting of this Temple of Sobek, the crocodile god, makes an approach by water the far superior way to visit this site. The temple is perched atop a picturesque bluff alongside the river and while there are no longer any crocodiles in the river or in the sacred lake inside the temple complex

Day 5: Luxor Nile Cruise Tours

Day 6: Luxor Nile Cruise - Train to Cairo

This temple might be the greatest testament to why Luxor has earned its nickname, โThe Worldโs Largest Outdoor Museumโ. Luxor Temple is located in the modern city of Luxor, which is built on the site of the ancient Egyptian capital of Thebes.
The temple is one of the best preserved of all of the ancient monuments with large amounts of structure, statuary and relief carvings still intact, making it one of the most impressive visits in the Luxor area and all of Egypt, adding significantly to its allure is the juxtaposition that its setting provides. The modern city begins on one side and the Nile drifts by on the other. There are few places in Egypt where one is put so immediately and clearly in touch with the extraordinary length of Egyptโs history.

At first glance, the Valley of the Kings, also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings, seems like no more than a sun-blasted gorge of generic red rock, but underneath all of its dust lay the tombs of 63 of the most important pharaohs in the history of Ancient Egypt. Used as a burial chamber for nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, Discovered by Howards Carter in an excavation expedition in 1922, one of the most important tombs found in the Valley of the Kings is the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun and all of his treasures.The Valley of the Kings is located on the west bank of the Nile River near Luxor. It is the most famous site for having unique collections of tombs and breathtaking ancient ruins.

In terms of visual impact from afar, there is no rival to Hatshepsutโs Temples. The unique multi-tiered structure nestled up against the limestone cliffs at the shoulder of the river valley is a truly stunning sight. The uniqueness of its layout mirrors that of the pharaoh responsible for building it.
Hatshepsut was the only female pharaoh in the history of Ancient Egypt. She came to power during the New Kingdom after the death of her father, Tuthmose I, and her half-brother and husband, Tuthmose II, who succeeded her father on the throne.

Stop At: Colossi of Memnon, Thebes, Luxor Egypt
One of the biggest tourist attractions in Luxor, the Colossi of Memnon gained its popularity due to its majestic appearance and for the mysterious sounds emitted by the northern colossus statue at every sunrise. In the West Bank of Luxor Egypt, two magnificent twin statues image of pharaoh Amenhotep III and two smaller statues carved by his feet (one being his wife and the other his mother), stands graciously in the horizon of the magnificent Luxor horizons.
The two statues, each measuring 60 feet tall, stands in the entrance of Amenhotep IIIโs mortuary temple. They are famously named by the name of Colossi of Memnon due to a phenomenon produced by one of the statues after an earthquake.
