      Welcome to Porto! 

      After your welcoming, our guide will transfer you from the airport to the 

      hotel in Porto. Porto is a charming city, easy to fall in love with, that has 

      something mystical and difficult to describe. It is for your own eyes to see! 

      Take the rest of the day off to experience the city, taste the food, reach 

      the sightseeing spots and interact with the lovely people. Your journey 

      begins!

  • Day 2 Bike From Porto To Furadouro

      Bike From Porto To Furadouro

      Your adventure begins! 

      This first day starts from the old Porto crossing, the Dom Luรญs Bridge, 

      which has a spectacular view over the Douro River. This will be the 

      second day in which you will cycle on calm and serene roads, close to the 

      sea. On the way, you will cross several small beaches like Valadares, 

      Francelos, and Miramar by cycling on a path near the coastline. Although 

      the water might be too cold for some, these beaches are a great spot to 

      take a bath and enjoy the sun (if the weather conditions allow it!). Miramar 

      Beach is worth a stop to visit a small and intriguing little chapel that sits 

      on the top of a boulder by the shore; the famous Capela do Senhor da 

      Pedra.

  • Day 3 Bike From Furadouro To Aveiro

      Another fresh day by the sea! 

      You will also have some magnificent pine tree forests to cross and enjoy 

      some easy and flat roads leading you to Ria de Aveiro. The Ria de Aveiro 

      is a shallow coastal lagoon connected to the Atlantic Ocean. Its unique 

      mesotidal wetland area has several branches forming islands and is an 

      absolute pleasure to ride along. You will then arrive at the dune system of 

      Sรฃo Jacinto, an incredible natural reserve home to many valuable 

      species and the perfect place to watch some wildlife! At last, this is where 

      you will catch the ferry that will take you to our own little Portuguese 

      Venice, Aveiro.

  • Day 4 Bike From Aveiro To Praia De Mira

      Discover the preserved traditions of Portugal. 

      As you leave Aveiro, you will head down a path that crosses a land of 

      ponds, where salt is extracted by an old traditional method passed down 

      through generations. As you head-on, you will arrive at a dock where you 

      can view the harbor and some old codfish boats. After you will cross the 

      main bridge and arrive in Barra Village, a typical village settled down in a 

      narrow stretch of a sand dune between the sea and the Ria. As the day 

      goes on, you will pass at Costa Nova, the most famous beach in Aveiro. 

      Here you will discover the โ€œpalheirosโ€, the striped-colored houses in 

      Costa Nova! A day full of great landscapes, making it a unique 

      experience.

      Prepare yourself to discover Portugalโ€™s medieval capital - Coimbra! 

      This day starts on gravel roads, taking you through villages, towns until 

      reaching the Mondego river, which will guide you to the heart of Coimbra. 

      This charming city was the first capital of Portugal, and the first University 

      was placed there in 1537, where many Portuguese writers, doctors, 

      philosophers, or scientists studied throughout the times. University of 

      Coimbra - Alta and Sofia was built in the Royal Palace of Alcรกรงova, a 

      historical place full of charm, beauty, and heritage, as the 12th-century 

      Cathedral of Santa Cruz, several 16th-century colleges, the Joanine 

      Library with a baroque decor, or the 18th-century Botanical Garden. 

      There is a lot to see and explore around Coimbra!

      Cycling through the history of Portugal. 

      After a traditional breakfast in the amazing Coimbra city, itโ€™s time to 

      continue your adventure through Portugal. Today you will cycle along the 

      Mondego River, the longest river located exclusively in Portuguese 

      territory. As you reach Montemor-o-Velho, an imposing castle will appear. 

      It is one of the oldest castles in Portugal and was the main fortress of Low 

      Mondego during Medieval times. Besides the castle and other important 

      monuments, thereโ€™s nothing better than to sample the local "espigas 

      doces" (typical cakes of Montemor). At the end of the day, you will arrive 

      at Quinta Dโ€™Anta for a relaxing and cosy night!

      Once again meeting the grateful Atlantic sea! 

      Today you will ride to Sรฃo Pedro de Moel, through the cycling path of the 

      Atlantic road, the largest in the country. Breathe the fresh air of the pines 

      tree forests and feel the amazing breeze from the ocean, A memorable 

      journey across incredible natural landscapes and experiences. On the 

      way, you will pass by Pedrogรฃo and Viera beach, two lovely places 

      where until today, the fishermen still fish on the traditional way. Once in 

      Sรฃo Pedro de Moel, a picturesque seaside village, taste one of the 

      traditional fish dish, where the flavors will lead you into a magnificent 

      gastronomic experience.

      Today you will discover a UNESCO Heritage Medieval walled town! 

      After a traditional breakfast, itโ€™s time to leave Sรฃo Pedro de Moel and 

      ride along the coast through magnificent pine forests and beautiful 

      beaches. Visit Nazarรฉ, a typical fisherman village, full of colors, where 

      the daily catch is still dried off under the sun. Continue riding close to the 

      sea and pass by a beautiful bay at Foz do Arelho. Then, go inland and 

      ride to the medieval town of ร“bidos, where you will discover one of the 

      most picturesque and well-preserved castles in Portugal. Feel the 

      middle-aged theme in the air as you let this magical place put a spell on 

      you. Once in Obidos, remember to drink the bright red Ginja in the little 

      dark chocolate cup, a delicious tradition that you cannot miss.

      Discover a peninsula that just out into the Atlantic. 

      This day will begin close to the lagoon of ร“bidos, which is considered the 

      most extensive coastal lagoon system on the Portuguese coast. As you 

      continue heading south, you will cycle inland through an area where 

      dinosaurs once roamed. Almost at the end of the day, you will discover 

      an incredible place on a very small peninsula that looks like an island. 

      Peniche is a city of fishing traditions. So, as you might expect, here you 

      can find many seafood restaurants serving up tasty sea bass, seafood 

      rice, and charcoal-grilled sardines, among others. Besides the sea and 

      the local cuisine, Peniche is also known for the art of bobbin lacework 

      and its incredible bays and beaches, popular among surfers.

      A scenic ride by the sea! 

      The day starts with some small rolling hills, through tiny Portuguese 

      villages. Always not far away from the ocean, you will pass by incredible 

      valleys of limestone and vibrant green Mediterranean vegetation. An 

      incredible coastal scenario that will lead you to Ericeira through some of 

      the most amazing beaches and cliffs of the region. Ericeira, known as the 

      Portuguese Mecca of Surf, is one of the most beautiful and popular 

      fishermen villages in Portugal. Picturesquely draped above the blue 

      ocean, it also offers you the perfect place for an excellent seafood dinner. 

      Enjoy the free time walking along the townโ€™s old center and admiring the 

      great vistas.

  • Day 11 Bike From Ericeira To Sintra

      Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage. 

      On this day, you will arrive and discover Sintra Natural Park and hills, 

      ending your day cycling on a constantly up and down. But before, delight 

      yourself with some of the beautiful places that Sintra has to offer, like the 

      Monserrate Palace, where you can stop and visit the gardens and its 

      exotic palace built in 1858. By the end of the day, you will arrive at the 

      beautiful village of Sintra, a UNESCO site. Use the free time to go up the 

      mountain and find the incredible Moorish Castle dating back to the 8th 

      century. Also worthwhile to visit the outstanding Pena Palace, where you 

      can find a wild fantasy of domes, towers, ramparts, and walkways on one 

      of the highest mountain peaks of Sintra.

  • Day 12 Bike From Sintra To Cascais

      Explore Cape Roca, the westernmost point in Continental Europe.

      On this last day of cycling, you will cross the mystic hills of Sintra, passing 

      by the incredible Franciscan Capuchos Convent. Built in the rock and 

      lined up with cork, the convent witnesses the humble austere living of the 

      Franciscan friars who lived there. Continue riding towards the Atlantic 

      ocean and get to the westernmost point in Continental Europe - Cape 

      Roca. Discover impressive beaches nestling between cliffs, artistically 

      sculpted by the power of nature, and finish with an easy scenic ride along 

      the coast to get to the lovely seaside Cascais.
