      Your journey starts in the cozy historic centre of Krรกlรญky, right on the border between Poland and Czechia. Surrounded by wooded hills, the Morava river is still a tiny brook that finds her way through the forests, fields and small villages of this border region. In the historic city of ล umperk, you reach your destination for today. In the background the hills of the Hrubรฝ Jesenรญk mountaints paint a perfect picture when the sunset announces the end of your first day along the Morava.

      Today you leave the hills behind you and cycle through the ever-widening valley of the Morava river. Along the way you can enjoy the many historic little towns, the seemingly endless forests and some of the palaces of the region. Your destiantion for today is the city of Olomouc, a religious metropolis and the historic capital of the Moravia region.

Did you actually know that Kromฤ›ล™รญลพ was the capital of the Austrian-Hungarian empire for a short time?

From Skalica you cycle to Holรญฤ with a large manor house.

      Along the southern bank of the Morava, you continue further to Kopฤany where one of the oldes churches of Slovakia is located. Along the banks of the Morava you reach the bordercrossing with Austria. Through beautiful old forests and quiet village you rach the vineyards of Stillfried.

      During your last cycling day, you first take the little ferry across the Morava to arrive back in Slovakia. On the other side of the river you cycle through the vast floodplains. This region is reigned by nature, so every nature lover will definitely remember this as one of the highlights of your holiday. A cycling bridge invites you for a little detour to Austria. The little city of Marchegg, surrounded by medieval city walls and hosting a large manor house, is the stork capital of Austria. Back in Slovakia, you cycle through the wet meadows where the Austrian storks come find their food. After a visit to the Schlosshof palace, you reach the suburbs of Bratislava and the confluence of the Morava and Danube rivers. High above this strategic spot, you can spot the ruins of the fortress of Devรญn. Along the banks of the Danube, a cycling path leads you to the heart of Slovakiaโ€™s captial city.
