Our hybrid bikes are equipped with 28 inch hollow chamber rims with puncture- proof touring tires, high-quality derailleur gears and break systems, a carrier and a sturdy bike stand, touring saddle as well as mudguards and a pannier rack. All components provide the rider with an uncompromised cycle experience. Please be aware that these rental bikes are only available for participants that are taller than 1.50 m. E-BIKES A limited number of E-Bikes are available on board. These must be prebooked. If you have booked an E-Bike you will receive a high-quality pedelec, powered mainly by a Bosch motor capable of covering long distances, and characterized by their light weight and great components. Alternative drive systems may also be used. Standard components of our e-bikes in varying frame sizes include, 28 inch hollow chamber rims with puncture-proof touring tires, high-quality derailleur gears and break systems, a carrier and a sturdy bike stand, touring saddle as well as mudguards and a pannier rack. With our e-bikes you will conquer the hills with a smile, they are a true declaration of independence for all who wish to cycle and seek the support of a little push. We offer a trapeze frame for all guests up to 179 cm, and a diamond frame for people 180 cm+. MOUNTAIN BIKE A mountain bike (MTB) option is available on select departures running parallel with the standard itinerary, refer to the mountain bike itinerary - a supplement applies. It is not possible to carry a pannier on the MTB rentals, you will need to bring your own hydration pack or water bladder to store drinking water needed during the cycling. Our rental bikes are equipped with flat pedals. Should you not want to be without your own click pedals (or own saddle โ€“ without the seat post), please bring them with you and let your tour guide attach them to your rental bike. BRINGING YOUR OWN BIKE We actively discourage you from bringing your own bicycles because the transport from your hometown to Croatia by airplane is both costly and risky. The bicycles often get damaged during the transport and transfer taxis are often unwilling to transport bicycle boxes. In addition to the above mentioned it is very difficult to store the boxes on the boat during the week. If you still want to bring your own bicycle, please keep in mind that a bicycle with a gearshift (at least 21 gears) in a sound technical condition is required for this tour because the area is mostly hilly to mountainous. If you decide to bring your own bicycle you should double-check the condition of your brakes, tires and chains before the trip and put together an appropriate repair kit with spare parts (such as an extra tire tube). Exclusion of liability: Radurlaub Zeitreisen GmbH cannot be held liable for any damage that might be caused to your bicycle/e-bike during loading, unloading or transfer. Weight Limit of bikes brought on board - 22 kg (48.5 lb), if you bring your own bicycle/e-bike on board of one of our boats. (E-bikes should not weigh more than 22 kg; without the battery. The battery must be removable as power outlets are located in the cabins.) This limit is important to protect the health of our guides/crew members, when they have to lift the bikes on board. BICYCLE INSURANCE We are offering a bicycle insurance against theft and damage for our Islandhopping bicycles (not insured: grossly negligent damages). Bike Insurance should be prebooked and on arrival paid in cash locally. EUR10 per person for hybrid bike, EUR20 per person for electric bike. Please note that normal travel insurance often does not cover loss or damage to rental bikes. If you do not take out bike insurance you will need to pay for the cost of the bike or repair of damages. Kindly take care of your rental bicycle/bike. Park it in safe places - not next to the sea to keep it away from salt water. Please keep in mind that you are responsible to compensate for any damage caused. PANNIERS For the duration of the tour we supply you with a waterproof pannier, a practical way of carrying drinks, bathing gear, camera etc. The use of panniers is free of charge. To ensure that bike panniers remain water proof they have to be closed tight. Although panniers are manufactured from waterproof material Radurlaub Zeitreisen GmbH cannot be held liable for any damage that might be caused to any personal belongings like mobile phones, cameras etc. The use of rucksacks (except for hydration packs) is in our opinion less practical than handlebar bags or panniers. HELMETS On all bicycle tours it is mandatory to wear a helmet. We request that you bring your own well fitted helmet. Bike helmets can be provided free of charge if reserved prior to arrival (limited amount).

Meals

7 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 2 dinners (does not include drinks)*. The cook on board is a member of the crew. The meals begin with dinner on day 1 and ends with breakfast on day 8. *Note that the included lunches and dinners are not clearly labelled on the daily itinerary as they depend on sailing conditions on the day and from time to time we may substitute one of the lunches for a dinner or vice versa, your tour guide will inform you locally when these will be included.

Accommodation

7 nights accommodation in a twin cabin below deck with ensuite facilities on board a premium boat (supplement applies for above deck or single cabin). If you are travelling by yourself you can be matched with another passenger or request a single cabin (extra cost). The cabins are configured with a combination of double beds or two lower beds. Excellent discounts apply to a third person sharing a triple cabin, configured with a single bunk bed above. Note that the lower deck cabins by their very nature will be marginally noisier and less ventilated due to their proximity to the engine and working part of the boat. Sample photos of the cabins. See additional photos above or ask our staff for your specific boat.
