A native of Kashmir, means that a vast network that can be called upon in case of any emergency or contingencies.

The start of the trip sets the tone for the rest of the journey and the end of the trip is an intimate moment to reflect, relish, and basically have one big party. The properties Karma Yatri uses at various locations, that serve as start and end points of the itinerary, are unique and carefully selected. The properties combine the best in hospitality that the region has to offer, great food, and the ability for you all to behave like a group. Please note that although Karma Yatri provides blankets and duvets, it is recommended that you carry a sleeping bag for added comfort.

  • Day 1 Day 1: Mumbai - Kashid (74 Kilometers / 46 Miles)

      Start our journey with a specially curated brunch/breakfast. Then you will be transferred to the gateway of India and get on the Ferry to Mandwa. A historian accompanies you on this journey, narrating the nuances that went to creating the Metropolis of Mumbai.


      Arrive at Mandwa Jetty where your car / motorcycle awaits you. A short road trip along (whatโ€™s called the Coast of Ruins) the ccean will take you to your hotel at Kashid. Soak in the sunset while sipping on cocktails and local snacks. Later, you will have a specially crafted dinner incorporating local produce. A yoga instructor and masseuse is also available.

      Today you will have a half day road trip around the Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary. Explore the Western Ghats and keep your fingers crossed for the possibility of wildlife; birds, deer, and foxes. This is a low traffic circuit with excellent tarmac and is an exciting circuit for moto-enthusiast and holds enough attraction for a pillion / passenger.


      It allows for an initial exploration of the Western Ghats and its biodiversity. You will stop somewhere for a picnic lunch. After a well earned afternoon siesta, the evening is reserved for a more relaxed event flow.


      A boat will take you to the historic forts of Murud and Janjira. A sunset boat ride with cocktails will allow you to soak in the charm of the west coast and allow for visions of whatโ€™s still to come. Dinner would be a beach side barbecue. A yoga instructor and masseuse is also available.

      Take a ferry crossings and enjoy pristine beaches galore. The west coast at its finest, this stretch of the circuit is one of postcard pictures. You will have a picnic lunch at one of the many spots you will cross today.


      You will also have spontaneous ocean dips and stopovers to sample the highway cuisine of the region. Then, arrive at one of the most pristine beaches on the coast, were the combination of cliffs meeting the ocean set the perfect stage for a perfect evening. Dinner will be a beach barbecue.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Harnai - Ganpatipule (113 - 158 Kilometers / 70 - 98 Miles)

      Today, you will have an early morning boat ride with local fishermen. Then you will have a ride with ferry crossings and ocean forts; a hallmark of this coastal stretch. Visit villages, that are a quilted pattern of fishing boats, paddy fields, and mango orchards.


      You will then have a circuit crisscrossing in the coast and the Western Ghats. These roads are a motoristโ€™s delight. The lack of traffic and the superb quality of tarmac ensure that the kilometers fly by. You will stay close to the temple town of Ganpatipule. You will have a temple visit / two-hour explorer road trip. Meal will be coastal cuisine.

      Today is your longest day on the road. Cross Ratnagiri, the major town on the coast, climbing into the Western Ghats and riding along the fringes of the Deccan Plateau. Lunch will be on the road. Your last ferry crossing will take you close to Swantwadi on the border of Goa.


      You will have a free evening to recuperate from the days ride and soak in the (essentially) village atmosphere of Sawantwadi. At night, you will have a traditional dinner. A yoga instructor and masseuse is available.

  • Day 6 Day 6: At Leisure In Sawantwandi Village (50 Kilometers / 31 Miles)

      You will have an afternoon siesta after lunch. When in Goa be a Goan. Drinks and dinner at a farewell party for you at a club / bar.
