      Day 2: Arrival And Terelj National Park

      "Tavtai morilno uu!" Your guide will welcome you and you will drive directly to the Mongolian nature. Upon arrival at your camp, you will enjoy a breakfast. Afterwards you will get a first impression of what Mongolia has to offer scenically in the Terelj National Park. On a walk you will pass through edelweiss fields and discover vast hill and rock landscapes (easy, 4 km, walking time: approx. 2 hrs, +/-140 meters altitude gain). 1 night in a traditional Mongolian ger camp.   • Day 3 Day 3: Capital Ulaanbaatar

      Day 3: Capital Ulaanbaatar

      After another breakfast in nature, you will head back to Ulaanbaatar. First, however, your way back will take you to the huge, imposing equestrian statue of Genghis Khan. Here you will have time for a first history lesson. In the afternoon you start your discovery tour through Ulaanbaatar. Among other things, you will visit Sukhbaatar Square and enjoy the magnificent view of the city from the Zaisan Monument, which is located on a hill. Before the traditional Mongolian dinner you will visit the Winter Palace of Bogd Khan. 1 night in Ulaanbaatar. (B/A)

  • Day 4 Day 4: Hustai National Park

      Day 4: Hustai National Park

      Before you set off into the vastness of Mongolia, the morning will be spiritual: In the Gandan Monastery you will learn interesting facts about Mongolian Buddhism and become part of a prayer ceremony. During a hike through the forest and steppe landscape of the Hustai National Park you can observe Mongolian wild horses. Almost extinct, they have now been successfully reintroduced to the wild. You may also spot Siberian ibexes, wolves and lynxes (easy, 4 km, approx. 2-3 hrs, +/-180 hm). 1 night in a ger camp. (F/P/A)

  • Day 5 Day 5: Gurvanbulag

      Day 5: Gurvanbulag

      Today a unique combination of Mongolian mountains, forests and desert-like nature awaits you in Gurvanbulag (easy, 2 km, approx. 1 hr, +/-50 hm). On the way you will get a taste of the Mongolian past when visiting the Khar Bukh ruins. You will end the day in a typical Mongolian way: After a horseback ride (optional) you will cook and eat the local specialty Khorkhog together with your hosts. You will spend the night in the ger camp of the nomadic community. (F/P/A)

      Day 6: Karakorum

      Today culture is on the program: In Karakorum you will walk on the historical paths of Genghis Khan and visit the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. Afterwards, you will continue to a felt workshop. The project was created to support unemployed and single mothers. 1 night in Karakorum. (F/P/A)

  • Day 7 Day 7: Orkhon Valley

      Day 7: Orkhon Valley

      Before leaving Karakorum, stroll through a Mongolian market and discover local specialties. Then your journey takes you to the Orkhon Valley (UNESCO World Heritage Site), where you walk through fertile fields and rolling hills (easy, 6 km, approx. 3 hrs, +/-60 hm). Afterwards, a nomadic family will greet you in Mongolian with a snuff bottle (Khรถรถrรถg) and you will taste the national drink Airag. 1 night in a ger camp. (F/P/A)

  • Day 8 Day 8: Ongi Monastery Ruins

      Day 8: Ongi Monastery Ruins

      Along the Ongi River we go to the monastery of the same name. Once the largest site in the country, it was completely destroyed by the communists in the 1930s and only partially rebuilt in the 1990s. During a walk you will enjoy the surrounding landscape with steppes and hills (easy, 2 km, approx. 1 hr, +/-50 hm). 1 night in a ger camp in Ongi. (F/P/A)

  • Day 9 Day 9: Jurassic Desert

      Day 9: Jurassic Desert

      In the morning you will drive to Bayanzag, the paradise for dinosaur fans. The "red shore" is one of the most famous places for fossil finds, especially dinosaur skeletons. Besides the history of the giant lizards, the landscape with its red shining cliffs is also fascinating here - the perfect sunset scenery (easy, 4 km, approx. 2 hrs, +/-80 hm). 1 night in Bayanzag.   • Day 10 Day 10: Khongoryn Sand Dune

      Day 10: Khongoryn Sand Dune

      Today you will travel towards Khongoryn Els, one of the largest and most impressive sand dunes in Mongolia. Late in the afternoon you will hike up to the highest peaks, also called "singing dunes" (moderate, 1 km, about 1 hr, +/-150 Hm). The view over the shining sea of sand will compensate you for the strenuous climb. 1 night in a ger camp in Khongor. (F/P/A)

  • Day 11 Day 11: Hike Vulture Gorge

      Day 11: Hike Vulture Gorge

      Along the Altai Mountains in the early morning you will go to the vulture gorge Yolyn Am. Here you will hike along a clear stream, which at the end gets lost in the eternal ice. Keep your eyes open along the way: On the slopes of the steep cliffs, eagles and ibex can be seen again and again (easy, 4 km, approx. 2 hrs, +/-70 hm). 1 night in a ger camp in Khongor. (F/P/A)

      Day 12: The "White Stupa" Tsagaan Suvarga

      After breakfast you will drive to the Middle Gobi to Tsagaan Suvarga. The limestone rock formations are called "white and red stupa" because of their color. You will experience the impressive landscape, rich in shells and other fossils, during a hike (easy, 5 km, 2 hrs, +/-100 Hm). You will spend the night in a ger camp. (F/P/A)

      Day 13: Baga Gazariin Chuluu

      Today you have to get up early, the sunrise is calling. Strengthened by the subsequent breakfast, your journey continues to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, an imposing granite rock formation. It is home to rare species of animals such as ibex, wild sheep, marmots or vultures (easy, 5 km, 2 hrs, +/-100 hm). 1 night in a ger camp. (F/P/A)
